Douglas Samuel Asad (born August 27, 1938) is a former American football tight end in the American Football League. He played for the Oakland Raiders in 1960 and 1961. Asad played high school football at Fairview High School in Fairview Park, Ohio, and he played college football at Northwestern University. [1]

Asad Tajmmal Abdul-Khaliq is a former American football quarterback. He was the starting quarterback for the Minnesota Golden Gophers football team from 2000 to 2003. The Gophers went 10-3 during his senior year in 2003 with Abdul-Khaliq under center – the first time they won that many games in a season since a 10–1 season in 1905. He also briefly played for the Chicago Rush and the New York Dragons of the AFL.
