"Drop" is a single by alternative hip hop group The Pharcyde,released in 1995 as the second single for the group's second album, Labcabincalifornia . The single contains a reversed sample of Dorothy Ashby's recording of "Django",originally by the Modern Jazz Quartet,as well as a vocal sample of the Beastie Boys song "The New Style",using the titular "mmm..... drop" line delivered during a drop to create its hook.
The music video for "Drop" was directed by Spike Jonze and filmed in Los Angeles. The video features Ad-Rock and Mike D in a cameo,artwork by pro skater Mark Gonzales,and footage of the group performing the song backwards,played in reverse.

The Pharcyde is an American hip hop group,formed in 1989,from South Central Los Angeles. The original four members of the group are Imani,Slimkid3,Bootie Brown,and Fatlip. DJ Mark Luv was the group's first disc jockey (DJ),followed by producer J-Swift.
"One More Chance / Stay with Me (Remix)" is a song written and recorded by American rapper The Notorious B.I.G. Three versions of the song exist:An original,lyrically explicit version prefaced by an answering machine performance featured on the album,and two versions released as singles,both of which contain identical lyrics by B.I.G. despite differing instrumentals and choruses. The first is an upbeat "Hip Hop Mix" that samples Marley Marl's "Droppin Science",and the second is a sultrier R&B remix parenthetically labeled the "Stay with Me Remix",which samples the namesake 1983 song by the band DeBarge. The lattermost remains the most popular,and features backing vocals and harmonies performed by his wife Faith Evans,as well as uncredited appearances by Mary J. Blige and Bad Boy Records label boss Puff Daddy—who also produced the version with Rashad Smith. It received platinum certification by the RIAA by July 31,1995,and has sold 1.1 million copies.
"Drop It Like It's Hot" is a song by American rapper Snoop Dogg featuring fellow American singer-songwriter Pharrell Williams. It was released on September 27,2004,as the lead single from Snoop Dogg's seventh studio album,R&G:The Masterpiece (2004). The song was produced by the Neptunes. It is regarded as an iconic song,with Snoop performing the chorus and the second and third verses while Pharrell performs the first verse.
Black Moon is an American underground hip hop group from Brooklyn,New York. Formed in 1992 by East Coast rappers Buckshot and 5ft and record producer DJ Evil Dee,they debuted in 1992 with the release of the single "Who Got da Props". The group was most notable for their debut album Enta da Stage,and their affiliation with the Boot Camp Clik. As of 2024,the group has released four studio albums.

The song contains a sample of "There's Nothing In This World That Can Stop Me From Loving You" by Tom Brock,who died a year later. The chorus features a lyrical interpolation of "High Power Rap" by Crash Crew. "Dead Presidents" is a 1996 song by American rapper Jay-Z. It was released as the first promotional single for Jay-Z's debut album Reasonable Doubt,though it did not directly appear on the album:a different version of the song with the same backing track and chorus but with different lyrics called "Dead Presidents II" appeared on Reasonable Doubt. The song contains two verses by Slimkid3 and Fatlip,Fatlip's verse in particular is highly regarded among fans and critics of the group for its conversational style delivery and easy flowing pace. Both verses address issues of love and relationships. Slimkid3 does his first verse in his trademark incorporation of both singing and rapping. He also sings the ending of the song.

Back Like That is the second single by American rapper Ghostface Killah from his critically acclaimed fifth solo album Fishscale (2006). It features R&B singer Ne-Yo and peaked at number 61 on the Billboard Hot 100,becoming Ghostface Killah's highest entry on the chart until his 2022 song "Purple Hearts". "Back Like That" contains a sample of "Baby Come Home" as performed by Willie Hutch,as well an interpolation of "Song Cry" as performed by Jay-Z. A remix featuring Kanye West and Ne-Yo was later released and included on his sixth album,More Fish. He performed the song with Chrisette Michele at VH1's 6th Annual Hip Hop Honors ceremony.
