Ayr is a Somali clan that is part of the larger Habar Gidir Hawiye clan. The Ayr clan is the eldest Habargidir sub-clan and is the largest Habargidir sub-clan in population. The Ayr clan have a rich history in Somali society and has played an important role in shaping Somali history and national politics. Members of the clan reside in 6 out of the total 18 regions of Somalia but are primarily found in the central region of Somalia - Galgaduud region which they hold a monopoly over and is considered their heartlands. They are considered the most powerful sub-clan in central and southern Somalia controlling important sections of the country and greatly influencing the nation's capital Mogadishu, holding the 1st mayorship position in the post-independence era. The Ayr are regarded as being very large in numbers because they are spread throughout numerous regions in Somalia and are significant to the country's political, economic, social, and military sectors.

Dolobay is one of the woredas in the Somali Region of Ethiopia. Part of the Afder Zone, Dolobay is bordered on the south by the Provisional Administrative Line with Somalia, on the west by the Ganale Dorya River which separates it from the Liben Zone, on the northwest by Cherti, on the north by Afder, and on the east by Bare. Ugas Yasin Ugas Abdurahman was a Somali ruler. He was the 28th Chieftain (UGAAS) of the Dishiishe chieftainship, (UGAASTOOYO) who also was the nominal ugas of the Harti clan of Darod groups, reigning from 1940 to 2000. Ugas was a former ruler of Bosaso. Along with other Somali traditional rulers, Ugas Yasin was one of the most prominent rulers of present-day Somalia and the longest served traditional ruler in the history of all Somali traditional rulers. Bosaso was represented in the parliament of the succeeding Trust Territory of Somaliland by Ugas Yasin.

Ugas Hassan Ugas Yasin (Somali: Ugaas Xasan Ugaas Yaasiin, Arabic: اوغاس حسن اوغاس ياسين, is the supreme traditional clan elder of Dishiishe clan. Ugas Hassan belongs to a dynastical line of succession that continued for centuries. On 15 July 2001 he was crowned, it's said the coronation was conducted at behest of his late father Ugas Yasin. Between 1974-90 he was in the service holding the rank of colonel, in 1987 he went to Italy where he had joined the academy Cievieta Vecchia in Rome.
