The eOdisha Summit 2013 was the first edition of the eOdisha Summit, a Conference, Exhibition and Awards Summit held on March 6, 2013 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India with themes of eGovernance, Information Technology (IT) and Healthcare. [1] The eOdisha Summit 2013's Chief Guest was the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik and the guest of honors were Dr. Damodar Rout, Minister of Health and Family Welfare, Government of Odisha and Ram Sewak Sharma, Director General and Mission Director of UIDAI.

Rajdhani College, Bhubaneswar

Rajdhani College, is a college owned by the Government of Odisha located in the capital city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The College started in 1973 as one of 3 Government colleges in the City of Bhubaneswar in addition to the Buxi Jagabandhu Bidyadhar College and College of Basic Science and Humanities, Bhubaneswar for general science and arts studies. In 1975 the college was shifted to a temporary government building located in Unit-I and functioned there for a period of fourteen years as an independent institution. It was shifted to its new building at Baramunda in 1989. The college is affiliated with the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Odisha in +2 streams and to the Utkal University at the Degree stage. The college is very well located close to NH 5 and is accessible from various locations of Bhubaneswar due to proximity of largest bus-stand.

Sambalpur University Indian university

Sambalpur University is located in Burla town, of district Sambalpur, India, in the Indian state of Odisha. Popularly known as Jyoti Vihar, it offers courses at the undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Governor of Odisha is the Chancellor of the university. Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology

Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) was established in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India in 1962. It is the second oldest agricultural university in the country. It is dedicated to agriculture related research, extension and education. The University has 11 constituent colleges. The University has separate wings for research, extension services and planning, monitoring & evaluation, etc.

Ravenshaw University State Public University

Ravenshaw University is a co-educational state university situated in Cuttack, Odisha on the eastern coast of India. Founded as Ravenshaw College in 1868, the institution became a university in 2006. The university has nine schools, thirty three academic departments and a student enrolment of nearly 8,000. It is one of the oldest educational institutes in the country and its history is synonymous with the history of modern Odisha.

Barapada Engineering School (BES), came into being in 1957. Late Dr Harekrushna Mahatab, the then Chief Minister of Odisha conceived the idea with the objective of developing it in due course to a rural university.

IIT Bhubaneswar

Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar is a public technical and research university established by the government of India in 2008, located at Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. It is one of the eight new Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India under The Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Act, 2011 which establishes the eight new IITs as well as declares IT-BHU as Indian Institute of Technology. The Act was passed in the Lok Sabha on 24 March 2011 and by the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012. It started functioning from the campus of IIT Kharagpur on 23 July 2008 and shifted its operation to the city of Bhubaneswar on 22 July 2009.

Odissi music

Odissi music is a genre of classical music in India, originated from the eastern state of Odisha. The traditional ritual music for the service of Lord Jagannatha, Odissi music has a history spanning over two thousand years, authentic sangita-shastras or treatises, unique Ragas & Talas and a distinctive style of rendition.

Ganesh Chandra Jena is a mountaineer from Odisha, India. He reached the peak of Mount Everest on 18 May 2011 as the first male from the eastern state of Orissa. Two other Indians in his team were Amit Kumar from Haryana and Jackie Jack from Rajasthan. The team was headed by Anshu Jamsenpa, 32. After Kalpana Dash, Ganesh Jena achieved this feat as the second Oriya and the first male person from Odisha “Willpower, patience and determination hold the key to success. My target is to scale the Everest twice in one season,” he said to media persons after his successful Everest mission.

Prabhat Nalini Das was a leading public intellectual, academic and university president/pro Vice Chancellor from India. She served as a professor of English and head of the English Department at Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University; Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur; Utkal University and Ranchi University. She was the very first Director/Dean of the Humanities Division at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur; Founder-Professor and Head of the Department of English at Utkal University for almost nineteen years, and Chairman of Utkal University's Post Graduate Council; and the Pro-Vice-Chancellor of North Eastern Hill University, a Central University established by an act of the Parliament of India, with independent charge of its Kohima, Nagaland campus.

Odisha Tennis Premier League

Odisha Tennis Premier League is an International Professional Tennis League started in 2017 with zeal not only to promote this world sport but also to give wings to many young tennis players of India. Six Teams formed with ATP, WTA, and ITF players from different parts of India battled it out to lift the trophy. This league is supported by the International Tennis Federation and All India Tennis Association. Odisha Tennis Premier League is the brainchild of Shri Dilip Mohanty, CEO of Neelachal Sports Foundation. The foundation has introduced a new model in the country by introducing the concept of organizing Odisha Tennis Premier League - Biggest Tennis League of India so far.

Aparajita Sarangi is an Indian politician from the Bharatiya Janata Party and the incumbent Member of Parliament from Bhubaneswar. A former Odisha cadre Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer of the 1994 batch, Sarangi quit her job and joined the BJP in 27 November 2018 to contest the 2019 Indian general election. She was fielded against Biju Janata Dal's Arup Patnaik.

Mardala

Mardala is a percussive instrument native to the east Indian state of Odisha. It is traditionally used as the primary percussive instrument in the ancient classical music of the state, Odissi music. The instrument is different from other instruments that might have similar names in the Indian subcontinent due to its unique construction, acoustic features and traditional playing technique.

Gopal Chandra Panda Odissi Singer and Guru

Gopal Chandra Panda is a Guru of Odissi classical music, vocalist, researcher and composer. He has authored several treatises on Odissi music, such as Odissi Raga Ratnabali, Odissi Raga Darpana and more. He is acclaimed for his meticulous collection of hundreds of traditional Odissi compositions spanning decades and his effort in recovering, codifying and documenting several authentic Odissi ragas from ancient treatises & veteran musicians. He has performed in several prestigious music festivals across the country and is the founder of the Gopal Panda Odissi Academy, an institution for research and training of Odissi music. Panda's compositions are widely sung in Odissi music recitals and employed in Odissi dance. In 2011, Panda received the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for his contributions to Odissi music, from President Pranab Mukherjee.

Sarbeswar Mohanty (civil servant)

Sarbeswar Mohanty was a retired Indian Administrative Service officer of Odisha cadre. He had served as Commissioner cum Secretary, Labour & Employment Department, Government of Odisha and Secretary, Odisha Legislative Assembly. He had served as District Magistrate of 3 different districts Jagatsinghpur, Khordha and Kendrapara of the state of Odisha, India. National Human Rights Commission of India placed on record its appreciation of the sincerity, dedication and commitment displayed by him as the Collector of Jagatsinghpur district in organising and executing relief and rehabilitation work post super cyclone that struck Odisha in October 1999.
