Earl M. Hilton III is an American university sports administrator and the current Director of Intercollegiate Athletics for North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, an NCAA Division I sports program of located in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Early life and education

Hilton received his Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Lamar University in 1992. He also earned a Master of Public Administration and Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University. [1] Hilton also served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in South Africa.

Career

Hilton's career began at Texas Tech, where he served as an academic counselor. In 1997, Hilton became the assistant athletics director at the University at Buffalo, where he oversaw the departmental budget and served as the recreational and intramural supervisor. [2] In 2000, Hilton became the assistant athletics director for compliance at North Carolina A&T. A year later, he was promoted to the position of associate athletics director for internal affairs, where he served as the finance, compliance and personnel director for the university's athletic department. Hilton spent the next eight years outside of athletics, an assistant vice chancellor for student affairs at the university. In 2010, Hilton was appointed the interim athletics director for the university, where he was later appointed to the position permanently. [3]

Gerald Hundley Moore is a former American football player and coach. He served as the head football coach at North Texas State University—now the University of North Texas—from 1979 to 1980, at Texas Tech University from 1981 to 1985, and at Appalachian State University from 1989 to 2012, compiling a career college football coaching record of 242–134–2. In his 24 years at Appalachian State, Moore posted a losing season only once. He led his 2005 Mountaineers team to the NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship. This was the first national championship for any college football team in the state of North Carolina. Moore and the Mountaineers repeated as champions in 2006 and 2007, achieving the first "three-peat" in NCAA Division I FCS/I-AA history. Moore was forced out as head coach at the conclusion of the 2012 season. He was selected for inclusion into the Southern Conference Hall of Fame, and College Football Hall of Fame in 2014.

James Allen Wooldridge is an American former college basketball coach and athletics administrator. After his coaching career, Wooldridge served as athletic director at UC Riverside and Riverside City College.

Manny Matsakis is an American football coach and former player. He was most recently the head football coach at Defiance College, a position he held from 2018 to 2021. Ruffin Horne McNeill Jr. is an American football coach and former player who currently serves as the special assistant to the head coach at NC State University. McNeill also served as the head coach of the East Carolina Pirates from 2010 to 2015.
