The East Asian Zonal Volleyball Association, is the governing body for the sports of indoor, beach and grass volleyball in East Asia.

In the spirit of the FIVB 2001 Plan, AVC was the first to create five Zonal Associations at the 10th General Assembly in December 1993 prior to the FIVB Centennial Congress in September 1994.

The Asian Volleyball Confederation, commonly known by the acronym AVC, is the continental governing body for the sports of indoor, beach, and grass volleyball in Asia and Oceania. It has 65 member associations, mostly located in the Asia-Pacific region, but excludes four transcontinental countries with territory in both Asia and Europe – Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, and Turkey – along with Armenia, Cyprus, and Israel, which are members of the CEV instead.

The Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the eighteenth edition of the Asian Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Islamic Republic of Iran Volleyball Federation (IRIVF). The tournament was held in Tehran, Iran from 31 July to 8 August 2015.

2017 Asian Mens Volleyball Championship The nineteenth edition of the Asian Mens Volleyball Championship

The 2017 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the nineteenth edition of the Asian Championship, the biennial international men's volleyball championship of Asia organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Indonesian Volleyball Federation (PBVSI). The tournament was held in Gresik, Indonesia from 24 July to 1 August 2017.

The Asian section of the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship qualification acts as qualifiers for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Championship, to be held in Japan, for national teams which are members of the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC). A total of 4+1 slots in the final tournament are available for AVC teams.

The AVC qualification for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship saw member nations compete for four places at the finals in Italy and Bulgaria.

The South East Asian Zonal Volleyball Association, is the governing body for the sports of indoor, beach and grass volleyball in Southeast Asia.

The 2018 Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship was the 19th edition of the Asian Men's U20 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Bahrain Volleyball Association (BVA). The tournament was held in Riffa, Bahrain from 21 to 28 July 2018. The top two teams of the tournament qualified for the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship as the AVC representatives.

The 2018 Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship, referred to as the 2018 SMM Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship for sponsorship reasons, was the nineteenth edition of the Asian Women's U19 Volleyball Championship, a biennial international volleyball tournament organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) with Volleyball Federation of Vietnam (VFV) for the women's under-19 national teams of Asia. The tournament was held in Bắc Ninh Province, Vietnam, from 10 to 17 June 2018.

The tournament was held in Naypyidaw, Myanmar from 30 July to 6 August 2018. The champions qualified for the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship instead of the 2017 champions Sarmayeh Bank Tehran, who withdrew from the 2018 Club World Championship.

Tournaments have been awarded every two years since 1998. The current champion is Japan, which won its five title at the 2018 tournament.

Eastern Asian Men's Volleyball Championship is a men's international volleyball competition in East Asia for member nations of the Eastern Asia Zonal Volleyball Association (EAZVA). The first competition was contested in 1998 in Macau and tournaments have been played every two years since then. The current champion is Japan, which won its six title at the 2017 tournament.

The 2016 Eastern Asian Women's Volleyball Championship was the 10th edition of the AVC Eastern Zonal Women's Volleyball Championship, the volleyball championship of East Asia. It was held in Zhangjiagang, China from 19 to 24 July 2016.

The 2018 Asian Eastern Zonal Women's Volleyball Championship was the 11th edition of the AVC Eastern Zonal Women's Volleyball Championship, the volleyball championship of East Asia. It was held in Zhangjiagang, China from 10 to 15 July 2016.

The 2021 Asian Women's Volleyball Championship would have been the 21st edition of the Asian Women's Volleyball Championship, organized by Asia's governing volleyball body, the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) hosted in the Philippines.

The 2019 Eastern Asian Men's Volleyball Championship was the 10th edition of the AVC Eastern Zonal Men's Volleyball Championship, the volleyball championship of East Asia. It was held in Zhangjiagang, China from 16 to 21 July 2019.

The 2021 FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship was the 21st edition of the FIVB Volleyball Men's U21 World Championship, contested by the men's national teams under the age of 21 of the members of the FIVB, the sport's global governing body. The tournament was held in Italy and Bulgaria from 23 September to 3 October 2021. For the first time, the tournament was jointly hosted by more than one country.
