East Coast Vijayan is an Indian film producer, director and lyricist who works in Malayalam language. [2] Being a lyricist, Vijayan wrote the music album Ninakkai, which was released in 1998. [3] The music was given by Balabhaskar and the song Ninakkay Thozhi Punarjanikkam was sung by Biju Narayanan. [4] In 1999, Vijayan came up with his second album in the Ninakkai series named Aadhyamai, composed by Balabhaskar and penned by Vijayan. [5] In 2001, East Coast came up with Ormakkai. [6] The song "Ormakkai Iniyoru Snehageetham" from the album was composed by M. Jayachandran, written by Vijayan and sung by K. J. Yesudas and K. S. Chithra. [7] [8]

In 2008 Vijayan directed and produced his first movie, Novel . In 2011 he directed and produceded his second movie, Mohabbath . [9] In 2012 he produced his third movie, My Boss . [10]

Dakshinamoorthy and Baburaj, Raghavan is often credited for the renaissance of Malayalam film music. He is regarded as the pioneer in contributing Malayalam film songs with its own tunes and styles. Till then, Malayalam film songs were in the tunes of popular Hindi and Tamil film songs and old classical kritis. Raghavan gave a new direction and identity to Malayalam film music. He composed around 400 songs in Malayalam cinema and was active in the Malayalam film industry for nearly four decades. In 1997, he was honoured with the J. C. Bombay is the soundtrack to the 1995 Indian film of the same name, with eight tracks composed by A. R. Rahman. The film was directed by Mani Ratnam, and stars Arvind Swamy and Manisha Koirala, while the soundtrack album was released in 1995 by Pyramid. The Indian film was originally a Tamil film dubbed into Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. The soundtrack was thus released in multiple languages. The lyrics for the Tamil version were written by Vairamuthu, except for the song "Halla Gulla", which was written by Vaali. The lyrics for the Hindi and Telugu versions were written by Mehboob and Veturi, respectively.

T. S. Radhakrishnan, popularly known as Radhakrishnaji, is an Indian composer and music producer of devotional music and film music from Ernakulam, Kerala. He has composed over 300 devotional albums. His albums have been collaborations with leading Indian singers such as K. J. Yesudas, P. Leela, P. Susheela, S. Janaki, P. Jayachandran, K. S. Chithra, Hariharan, Manjari, Unni Menon, among others. He has collaborated on more than 200 albums. Most of his songs were written by R. K. Damodaran, P. C. Aravindan, S. Ramesan Nair and Chowalloor Krishnankutty.

Tharangini Records is the music company founded by noted Indian Playback singer K. J. Yesudas in 1980 at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. It was the first recording and distributing music label in Kerala from where Malayalam film songs on audio cassettes came out. Other than Malayalam, Tharangni also released songs in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, English, Malay, Arabic, Russian and Latin. Tharangni release albums under various labels, Tharangni, Tharangni or Ayaan, Bharath Sangeeth, 9th Angel Records, Diva Records, V Records & Entertainment, Amplify More, all licensed or incorporated under Dr. K. "Harimuraleeravam" is a song composed by Raveendran included in the soundtrack for the 1997 Malayalam-language film Aaraam Thampuran. The song was majorly composed in Sindhu Bhairavi raga yet deviates and travels to other ragas including Saramati halfway. The song was penned by Gireesh Puthenchery and sung by K. J. Yesudas with a narration by Mohanlal and composer Reghu Kumar on Jathi portion.

<i>Balyakalasakhi</i> (2014 film) 2014 Indian film

Balyakalasakhi is a 2014 Malayalam language film adaptation of the famous novel of the same name by Vaikom Muhammad Basheer. The romantic musical drama film was written and directed by debutante Pramod Payyannur and stars Mammootty, Isha Talwar, Meena, Seema Biswas, KPAC Lalitha and Mamukkoya in lead roles.

Sharon Joseph, is an Indian playback singer and lyricist from Kerala who sings in six languages: Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi and English. She pens lyrics in the English and Hindi Language. She started her career as a playback singer in the Malayalam movie Hangover in 2014.

Sushin Shyam is an Indian music composer, instrumentalist, and singer primarily associated with Malayalam cinema. He is also a founding member of the folk metal band The Down Troddence. His music contributions to notable films such as Varathan (2018) and Kumbalangi Nights (2019) have consolidated his standing in the industry. Notably, his work on Kumbalangi Nights earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Music Director in 2019.

Krishnam is a 2018 Indian Malayalam-language family drama thriller film written, directed and filmed by Dinesh Baboo from a story by P. N. Balaram, who also produced the film. The film features Akshay Krishnan, Ashwarya Ullas, Mamitha Baiju, Sai Kumar, and Shanthi Krishna in lead roles. The film was released in India on 18 May 2018 and was released straight online overseas. Tamil version was released in 15 March 2019.

Jibin George Sebastian is an Indian music composer, lyricist and entrepreneur from Kochi, Kerala who predominantly work in Malayalam Movie Industry. He is the first Indian from Kerala to directly debut in Hollywood as the music composer of the song Sometimes I Can't Relate from the movie Unbridled. He entered into the movie industry through the English movie Unbridled starring oscar nominee Eric Roberts, T.C. Stallings, Jenn Gotzon, Dey Young etc. Later in 2019, he composed and written lyrics for the songs Parayu Engu Nee and Pranayan En Kanavil for the movie Rakshapurushan starring Deepak Menon. The songs were sung by Vijay Yesudas and Najim Arshad and Zee Music acquired the rights for the songs. He is also known for releasing multilingual album named Beat of Indian Youth for which former Indian President A P J Abdul Kalam has written lyrics. The album got Limca Book of Records in 2015 and he was awarded first prize in the Fame Music Awards organized by SAE Institute through an All Indian contest for the Tamil track Vaa Vaa Jaikalam he composed for the album Beat of Indian Youth.
