Ebbisham Sports Club

Ebbisham Sports Club is a racquets club situated in Epsom, Surrey, England. Formed in 1937 on its present site, the club has a bar, three tennis courts, three squash courts and three badminton courts.

It is a members-only club and is split into three sections: badminton, squash and tennis. The club can be joined as a full member or each section can be joined separately.

The chairman and Treasurer of the club is Trevor Staplehurst, the vice-chairman is Trevor Foale assisted by Dave Robinson, Terry Coles and Viv nash.

The club's manager is Maureen Vandrau, assisted by Lesley Coles and Teresa Jolliffe. Trevor Flood is the bar manager.

Badminton

The Badminton section is headed by Richard Pennington. The badminton hall has three courts, with sprung timber flooring. Members of a similar standard play on a regular night each week throughout the year in graded sessions. A - Wednesdays (top grade), B - Thursdays, C - Tuesdays and D - Mondays. A tab/peg system enables play with different members during the evening. To play in one of the graded sessions, the player pays the badminton session supplement in addition to the club membership subscription. The supplement covers the cost of court time and shuttles for one adult badminton session per week. Club nights start at 7.00pm and end at 10.45pm.

The four Junior sections receive coaching on Fridays and Sundays during the winter season. Inter-county matches are played at Ebbisham. The junior badminton standard ranges from beginners to first team county players.

Squash

A league system operates every five weeks where members play other members of a similar standard. If they win, they are promoted, lose and they are relegated. There are competitions every year. There are men's and women's open, handicap and plate tournaments, as well as doubles, veterans and vintage tournaments.

Jo Robinson has created a strong crop of junior players with six teams operating in seven divisions. They have won the top division three times in a row.

There are three men's teams, two women's and a veterans' team.

Tennis

There are three tennis courts, available free of charge to the members. These are open all year and in all weather.

Coles Sports and Recreation Center

The Coles Sports and Recreation Center was the main athletic facility at New York University, located at 181 Mercer Street in New York City, in the U.S. state of New York. The building was named in honor of Jerome S. Coles, an alumnus and benefactor of NYU. The facilities accommodated a wide range of individual and group recreational sports and fitness activities, including over 130 different courses at various skill levels serving 10,000 participants, as well as club sports and an intramural program enjoyed by approximately 3,500 students. Grimsby Tennis Centre is a tennis club in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England. It was founded by members of the Welholme Methodist Church on grass courts in Welholme Road, Grimsby. In order to protect the membership from personal liability the club was formed into a Limited Company on 16 January 1922. The land in Weelsby Avenue was purchased in April 1922 and so the tennis facility on this site predates the surrounding houses that were built in about 1930. Although the Tennis Centre is a Limited Company, its constitution requires that any profits are used to improve the facility. Elected Directors serve for a period as defined in the Memorandum and Articles of Association.
