Eddie Eyre (born Eddie Wilson on 24 July 1988) is a British actor who is known for his role in EastEnders as Josh Hemmings.

Education

Eyre was educated at Abingdon School from 1999 to 2006. [1] He was trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Career

Eyre's stage career began at The Old Vic, where he took part in the 24 Hour Plays, [3] an event hosted by Kevin Spacey that has included actors such as Lily Cole, Catherine Tate, Douglas Booth and Kaya Scodelario. [4] Eyre's other stage performances include Yakov in Headlong's production of The Seagull , Henry Crawford in the Mansfield Park stage adaptation by Tim Luscombe, produced by the Theatre Royal, Bury St Edmunds, [5] and the lead role of Detective Sergeant Trotter in the West End production of the world's longest running play The Mousetrap . [6]

Eyre played Gerold Hightower in the sixth season of the HBO series Game of Thrones . [7] He joined the cast of BBC soap opera EastEnders as Josh Hemmings, a love interest for Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), in March 2017 and departed the following February. [8] [9] In May 2022, he appeared in an episode of the BBC soap opera Doctors as Steve Hedges. [10]

He returned on 24 December 2016. Wood took another short break from the show in 2018; Max departed on 16 February and returned on 23 April. It was announced in 2018 that Max would be taking a break from the soap in early 2019. He left on 14 February 2019 and returned on 7 May 2019. Max served as the show's main antagonist of 2017 following his release from prison and planning revenge on all his family, friends and neighbours. On 16 September 2020, it was announced that Wood would be departing from the role of Max after more than 14 years. Wood's final scenes aired on 19 February 2021.

She was introduced as part of a set of new characters that expanded the Carter family across 2013 and 2014, headed by executive producer Dominic Treadwell-Collins. Slater family (<i>EastEnders</i>) UK soap opera family, created 2000

The Slater family are a fictional family from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, that have appeared since Episode 1,997, first broadcast in September 2000. The family are introduced as a central family unit, originally consisting of father Charlie Slater, grandmother Mo Harris, Charlie's daughters, Kat Slater, Lynne Slater, Little Mo Morgan and Zoe Slater, and Lynne's partner Garry Hobbs. A fifth sister, Belinda Peacock, was introduced a year later. The family were the eighth to be introduced in the soap's history, replacing the di Marco family who departed during the previous month. The Slaters were created by Tony Jordan and introduced by John Yorke. The Slater sisters were cast in an improvisation session. In their first years on the show, the family were involved in storylines about child sexual abuse and domestic violence.
