Eels Time! is the fifteenth studio album by American indie rock band Eels. It was released on June 7, 2024, through E Works/PIAS Recordings.
Eels Time! features 12 tracks and was written by lead member Mark Oliver Everett [1] at their first in-person sessions following the COVID-19 pandemic. [2] It was recorded between Los Feliz, Los Angeles and Dublin, Ireland, and features contributions from various artists, including Koool G Murder, The Chet, Tyson Ritter, and Sean Coleman. On February 29, 2024, the band announced Eels Time! and released the lead single "Time" alongside the news. [3] The semi-titular opening "balmy acoustic number" is a track about the concept of time. Eels is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1991 by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Mark Oliver Everett, known by the stage name E. Band members have changed over the years, both in the studio and on stage, making Everett the only official member for most of the band's work. Eels' music is often filled with themes of family, death, and unrequited love. Since 1996, Eels has released fourteen studio albums, seven of which entered the Billboard 200.
