Osona is a comarca situated in Catalonia, Northeast Spain. Its capital is Vic. Its population in 2001 was 129,543. Osona covers roughly the same area as the historic Catalan county of Osona. The name Osona comes from Ausetans, a group of Iberian people who had their capital in Ausa ; the Romans called the area Ausone or Ausona. While most of the comarca is within the province of Barcelona, the municipalities of Espinelves, Vidrà and Viladrau form part of the province of Girona
Selva is a coastal comarque (county) in Catalonia, Spain, located between the mountain range known as the Serralada Transversal or Puigsacalm and the Costa Brava. Unusually, it is divided between the provinces of Girona and Barcelona, with Fogars de la Selva being part of Barcelona province and all other municipalities falling inside Girona province. Also unusually, its capital, Santa Coloma de Farners, is no longer among its larger municipalities, with the coastal towns of Blanes and Lloret de Mar having far surpassed it in size.

Santa Coloma de Farners is a spa town and capital of the comarca of the Selva, in Catalonia, Spain, and of the judicial district of Santa Coloma. It is situated on the edge of the Selva Depression and of the Guilleries. The local economy is mainly commercial, given the status of the town as capital of the comarca, although summer tourism, agriculture and forestry products also contribute. The urban centre is to the north and west of the main modern communication routes, although the C-253 road links the town with the main N-II route and the AP-7 autopista and to the RENFE railway station at Sils (10 km). The GE-533 runs through the northern part of the municipality, linking it with Vic to the west and with Riudellots de la Selva, Vilobí d'Onyar and Girona-Costa Brava Airport to the east.
Susqueda is a municipality in the comarca of the Selva in Catalonia, Spain. It is located in the Guilleries Massif area, on the left bank of the Ter river in the north-west of the comarca. The Susqueda reservoir is on the municipal territory, and the associated hydroelectric power station is an important source of local income. A local road links the municipality with the C-152 road to Santa Coloma de Farners.
Espinelves is a municipality in the comarca of Osona in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the Guilleries in the east of the comarca. Forestry is the main economic activity of the municipality, particularly the cultivation of the local species Abies masjoanensis for Christmas trees. The Romanesque church of Sant Vincenç d'Espinelves dates from the 11th and 12th centuries. The village is linked to Arbúcies and to Vic by the GI-543 road.
Viladrau is a municipality in the comarca of Osona in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the south-east of the comarca, beneath the massifs of the Guilleries and the Montseny, and is served by the GE-520 road, which links the municipality with the comarca of the Selva and with the N-152 road at Tona. The local mineral water is well known.

The Catalan Transversal Range is a system of minor mountain ranges at the eastern end of the Pre-Pyrenees, between the Osona and Garrotxa comarques. The existence of the Catalan Transversal Range has made communications in the northern areas of Catalonia difficult in the past, especially between Northeastern Catalonia and Western Catalonia, a problem that has been partly solved with the development of the Eix Transversal.

Turó del Castell is a mountain of the Guilleries Massif, Catalonia, Spain. It has an elevation of 851.1 metres above sea level. The Susqueda reservoir lies off the southern slopes of the mountain. The high plateau lying ENE of the mountain is known as Pla del Castell. A rocky outcrop known as Puig de la Força rises WSW of the summit.

La Cellera de Ter, also locally known simply as La Cellera, is a village in the county of La Selva, province of Girona and autonomous community of Catalonia, Spain. More than half of the area is mountainous and is part of the eastern ridge of the Guilleries massif. The municipality covers an area of 14.6 square kilometres (5.6 sq mi) and the population in 2014 was 2,071 and, in 2020, 1.950. The population density is 133,56 hab/km².
