Eliano Johannes Reijnders (born 23 October 2000) is a professional footballer who plays as a right-back or a winger for Eredivisie club PEC Zwolle. Born in Finland and raised in the Netherlands, he represents the Indonesia national team. [3]
Reijnders is a product of PEC Zwolle and made his senior debut in 2018. On 24 August 2022, Reijnders joined Jong Utrecht on a season-long loan with an option to buy. [4]
In September 2024, Reijnders confirmed that he had decided to represent Indonesia at the international level. [5] On 2 October 2024, he was called up to the national team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers matches against Bahrain and China. [6] The following week, on 10 October, he made his debut against Bahrain in a 2–2 draw. [7]
Reijnders is the son of Martin Reijnders and the brother of Tijjani Reijnders, who is also a professional footballer. He was born in Finland while his father played for FC Haka. [8] [9] [10] Reijnders is of Indonesian descent through his Moluccan mother. [11] [12]
On 30 September 2024, Reijnders officially obtained Indonesian citizenship. [13]
