Peggy Gale Fleming is an American former figure skater. She is the 1968 Olympic Champion in the ladies' singles, being the only American gold medalist at these Games, and a three-time World Champion (1966–1968) in the same event. Fleming has been a television commentator in figure skating for over 20 years, including at several Winter Olympic Games.
Pierre Émile Ernest Brunet was a figure skater. Together with his wife Andrée Brunet he won Olympic medals in 1924, 1928 and 1932, as well as four world titles between 1926 and 1932 in pair skating. He also competed in singles, winning the national title in 1924–1931 and finishing seventh-eighth at the 1924 and 1928 Winter Olympics.
Sean Carlow is an Australian former competitive figure skater. He is a three-time Australian national champion, from the 2005–06 season to 2007–08.

Marta Andrade Vidal is a Spanish former competitive figure skater. She is an eight-time Spanish national champion and competed in two Winter Olympics, placing 20th in 1994 and 22nd in 1998. She competed in eleven World Championships, achieving her highest placement, 19th, in 2002 in Nagano, Japan.
Peter Christian Cain is an Australian pair skater who currently works as a coach. With sister Elizabeth Cain, he is the 1976 World Junior bronze medalist and a four-time Australian national champion. Their highest placement at the World Championships was 12th in 1977. They competed in the 1980 Winter Olympics, finishing eleventh. He is the uncle and former coach of Australian national champion Sean Carlow and father of American skater Ashley Cain. His former students include Alexei Krasnozhon and Brooklee Han. He currently works as a coach in the Euless, Texas area.
Ethel Muckelt was a British figure skater who competed in singles and pairs. As a single skater, she won the bronze medal at the 1924 Winter Olympics. As a pair skater, she placed fifth at the 1920 Summer Olympics with Sydney Wallwork. With John Page, she won the silver medal at the 1924 World Figure Skating Championships and placed fourth at that year's Olympics.
Alexander Vlassov is a former Soviet pair skater who currently works as a coach. With partner Irina Vorobieva, he won the silver medal at the 1977 World Figure Skating Championships and the silver medal at the 1977 European Figure Skating Championships. They placed 4th at the 1976 Winter Olympics. They were coached by Tamara Moskvina. He later skated with Zhanna Ilina.
Olga Dmitriyevna Markova is a Russian former competitive figure skater who currently works as a coach, choreographer, and technical specialist. She is a two-time European medalist, and the 1994 Russian national champion.
Diane Towler MBE married Green, is an English former ice dancer and currently a figure skating coach. She is a four-time (1966–1969) World and European champion with skating partner Bernard Ford.
Kenneth Gene Shelley is an American figure skater who competed in both singles and pairs. As a single skater, he won the 1972 United States Figure Skating Championships and placed 4th at the 1972 Winter Olympics. His highest placement at the World Figure Skating Championships was a single skater was 7th, in 1972. As a pair skater, he competed with JoJo Starbuck, with whom he is a three-time National Champion. Starbuck and Shelley competed in two Olympic Games, placing 13th in 1968 and 4th in 1972, and won two bronze medals at the World Figure Skating Championships. When they made the 1968 Olympic team, they were the youngest athletes the United States had ever sent to the Olympics.

Irina Nikolayevna Vorobieva was a Russian pair skater who competed for the Soviet Union. With her then-husband Igor Lisovsky, she was the 1981 World champion and the 1981 European champion. They were coached by Tamara Moskvina.
Bernard Ford, MBE, was an English ice dancer. With partner Diane Towler, he was a four-time (1966–1969) World, European, and British champion. He was also a World Professional ice dancing champion. He later became a coach and choreographer.
Panu Oula Jääskeläinen is a Finnish former competitive figure skater. He is the 1992 Piruetten silver medalist, a two-time Nordic bronze medalist, and a five-time Finnish national champion. He represented Finland at the 1992 Winter Olympics.
Klára Engi is a retired Hungarian ice dancer. She competed with Attila Tóth. Together, they placed 16th at the 1984 Winter Olympics, 7th at the 1988 Winter Olympics, and 7th at the 1992 Winter Olympics. Their highest placement at the World Figure Skating Championships was 4th, which they achieved in 1989. Their highest placement at the European Figure Skating Championships was 4th, which they achieved in 1989, 1990, and 1991.
Yolande Jobin was a Swiss figure skater. She was the 1951 Swiss national champion. She represented Switzerland at the 1952 Winter Olympics where she placed 18th. After the 1953 World Championships in Davos she retired from competitive skating. She then spent several Winters in Crans coaching young people at the ice rink. In the early 1960s she retired from all skating and settled in La Tour de Peilz near Vevey with her parents who had retired there from London. She spent the rest of her life there, looking after her elderly parents. She never married.
A collision between the private cruiser Merinda and the Sydney HarbourCat Pam Burridge, which occurred on 28 March 2007 near the Sydney Harbour Bridge, claimed the lives of four members of Australia's ice skating elite, and injured two other people. The skaters were on board the nine-metre motor cruiser Merinda to celebrate the national team's performance at the World Championships in Tokyo the week before.
Kuramia was a "K-class" ferry on Sydney Harbour. Commissioned in 1914, the timber-hulled steamer was built for Sydney Ferries Limited during the early twentieth boom in cross-harbour ferry travel. At 353 tons, she was the largest wooden ferry on Sydney Harbour.
Ekaterina Dmitriyevna Alexandrovskaya was a Russian-Australian pair skater. With her skating partner, Harley Windsor, she was the 2017 CS Tallinn Trophy champion, the 2017 CS Nebelhorn Trophy bronze medallist, the 2018 CS U.S. Classic bronze medallist, and a two-time Australian national champion.
