Ellis Hollins (born 14 November 1999) is an English actor. He is known for portraying the role of Tom Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks . In 2006, he appeared in Alpha Male, a family film released in the United Kingdom.
At age 3, Hollins was cast as Tom Cunningham in Channel 4's soap opera Hollyoaks. [1]
In 2006, Hollins played the part of Nathan Lamis in the Dan Wilde production of Alpha Male. Hollins' part was dramatic and he undertook all his own stunts.[ citation needed ]
Hollins has been involved in many dramatic[ according to whom? ]Hollyoaks storylines playing Tom, including the death of both his parents and his brother; starting a fire while playing with matches; going to court for attacking intruder Esther Bloom; getting kidnapped and a teenage pregnancy and adoption storyline when Tom got his on-screen girlfriend Peri Lomax pregnant.
Hollins has also appeared in several Hollyoaks spin-offs. In November 2008, he appeared in all five episodes of series one of Hollyoaks Later , a late night spin-off series to Hollyoaks airing at 10pm on E4 over 5 consecutive nights. Hollins was involved in one of the main stories of the series, which saw Tom kidnapped by crazed Niall Rafferty. Hollins has appeared in all three series of the Hollyoaks Music show which aired on Saturday mornings on T4 over several months in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Hollins appeared as his Hollyoaks character, nicknamed 'Lil Tom' in a segment which saw Tom Cunningham interview various music artists. He also appeared in the October 2009 spin-off series Hollyoaks: The Good, the Bad and the Gorgeous, which took a look back at some of the best moments in Hollyoaks. The special also featured various specially filmed segments and Hollins appeared in one as Tom. Hollins started alongside Carley Stenson (Steph Cunningham).
In 2012, Hollins played the role of a young Hans Christian Andersen in the BBC Radio 4 drama The Beautiful Ugly.
Hollins was nominated for a British Soap Award in the Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress category in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011. He won the award in 2006. [2] Hollins won Best Young Actor at the Inside Soap Awards in 2006 [3] and 2008 [4] and was nominated for the award in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011. [9] In 2009 in a poll for Inside Soap magazine, Hollins' Hollyoaks character, Tom, was voted 'Soap's Greatest Ever Youngster'. Lisa Hunter is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Gemma Atkinson. She made her first appearance during the episode broadcast on 23 April 2001. The character is noted for her storylines including bullying and self-harming. After her exit from Hollyoaks, Atkinson reprised the role twice in two spin-off series. In November 2021, it was announced that Atkinson would be returning to Hollyoaks for a guest appearance, with her return airing in March 2022.

Tom Cunningham is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Ellis Hollins. He made his first appearance during the episode broadcast on 28 December 1999. With Tom being a young child for most of his tenure, his early years featured minimal storylines, including the numerous death of his family, being abused by Clare Devine and having various guardians including Steph Cunningham and Jack and Frankie Osborne. However, a turning point came for Tom when it was announced that his girlfriend, Peri Lomax would fall pregnant, and deal with Peri's subsequent decision to give their baby away for adoption. Other storylines have also included his friendships with Nico Blake and Dylan Jenkins and his relationships with Peri and his foster sister Jade Albright. Tom departed the village with Half Sister Cindy Cunningham in the episode aired on 4 September 2024, in an unannounced departure.
Ste Hay is a fictional character from the British soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Kieron Richardson. He debuted on-screen during the episode airing on 10 February 2006. Ste was created by David Hanson and was originally intended to be a short-term character for seven episodes. The following series producer Bryan Kirkwood decided to bring the character back on a permanent basis. As of 2010, Richardson has revealed that he is committed to staying in the serial. In April 2017, Richardson began taking hiatus from the show due to paternity leave, and made a full-time return on 18 December 2017. Niall Rafferty is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Barry Sloane. He first appeared during an episode broadcast on 3 December 2007. Former Brookside actor Sloane was cast as the "mysterious" hairdresser Niall and was introduced by the series' producer Bryan Kirkwood. During Sloane's portrayal of Niall on-screen, he was central to a storyline involving the already-established McQueen family and it was revealed Niall was the illegitimate son of Myra McQueen. Peri Lomax is a fictional character from the British E4 soap opera Hollyoaks and is portrayed by Ruby O'Donnell. Peri made her first on-screen appearance in episode 3705, originally broadcast on 4 October 2013. After being introduced as the "sister" of pre-established longstanding character Ste Hay alongside her believed to be two sisters Leela Lomax and Tegan Lomax, the character was devised in a plot-twist meaning she was revealed to be the biological daughter of Leela who had conceived Peri at fourteen with childhood lover and serial killer Cameron Campbell who later murdered her grandparents. The character was placed at the forefront of an issue-led based storyline in 2015 when the character began portraying in a high-profile teenage pregnancy storyline alongside Tom Cunningham. The storyline resulted in the birth of Steph Cunningham-Lomax in episode 4202, originally broadcast on 1 September 2015. Since her teenage pregnancy storyline, Peri had recently been a suspect in the "Who Killed Rayne?" whodunit storyline, where it was later revealed to be her boyfriend Romeo Nightingale who departed the soap in February 2024.
