Ellis Hollins (born 14 November 1999) is an English actor. He is known for portraying the role of Tom Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks . In 2006, he appeared in Alpha Male, a family film released in the United Kingdom.
At age 3, Hollins was cast as Tom Cunningham in Channel 4's soap opera Hollyoaks. [1]
In 2006, Hollins played the part of Nathan Lamis in the Dan Wilde production of Alpha Male. Hollins' part was dramatic and he undertook all his own stunts.[ citation needed ]
Hollins has been involved in many dramatic[ according to whom? ]Hollyoaks storylines playing Tom, including the death of both his parents and his brother; starting a fire while playing with matches; going to court for attacking intruder Esther Bloom; getting kidnapped and a teenage pregnancy and adoption storyline when Tom got his on-screen girlfriend Peri Lomax pregnant.
Hollins has also appeared in several Hollyoaks spin-offs. In November 2008, he appeared in all five episodes of series one of Hollyoaks Later , a late night spin-off series to Hollyoaks airing at 10pm on E4 over 5 consecutive nights. Hollins was involved in one of the main stories of the series, which saw Tom kidnapped by crazed Niall Rafferty. Hollins has appeared in all three series of the Hollyoaks Music show which aired on Saturday mornings on T4 over several months in 2009, 2010 and 2011. Hollins appeared as his Hollyoaks character, nicknamed 'Lil Tom' in a segment which saw Tom Cunningham interview various music artists. He also appeared in the October 2009 spin-off series Hollyoaks: The Good, the Bad and the Gorgeous, which took a look back at some of the best moments in Hollyoaks. The special also featured various specially filmed segments and Hollins appeared in one as Tom. Hollins started alongside Carley Stenson (Steph Cunningham).
In 2012, Hollins played the role of a young Hans Christian Andersen in the BBC Radio 4 drama The Beautiful Ugly.
Hollins has become popular amongst Hollyoaks fans and was nominated for a British Soap Award in the 'Best Dramatic Performance from a Young Actor or Actress' category in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011. He won the award in 2006. [2] Hollins won Best Young Actor at the Inside Soap Awards in 2006 [3] and 2008 [4] and was nominated for the award in 2007, 2009, 2010 and 2011. [5] [6] [7] [8] In 2008, he won Best Child Actor at the inaugural Digital Spy Soap Awards. [9] In 2009 in a poll for Inside Soap magazine, Hollins' Hollyoaks character, Tom, was voted 'Soap's Greatest Ever Youngster'. Lisa Hunter is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Gemma Atkinson. She made her first appearance during the episode broadcast on 23 April 2001. The character is noted for her storylines including bullying and self-harming. After her exit from Hollyoaks, Atkinson reprised the role twice in two spin-off series. In November 2021, it was announced that Atkinson would be returning to Hollyoaks for a guest appearance, with her return airing in March 2022.

Clare Devine is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by actresses Gemma Bissix and Samantha Rowley. Clare was killed-off in October 2013, and Bissix said that it would allow Hollyoaks to develop other villainous characters. Ste was created by David Hanson and was originally intended to be a short-term character for seven episodes. The following series producer Bryan Kirkwood decided to bring the character back on a permanent basis. As of 2010, Richardson has revealed that he is committed to staying in the serial. In April 2017, Richardson began taking hiatus from the show due to paternity leave, and made a full-time return on 18 December 2017. In October 2019, it was confirmed that Richardson will take a hiatus from the show departing on 20 November 2019. He returned on 3 November 2020.

Niall Rafferty is a fictional character from the British Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, played by Barry Sloane. He first appeared during an episode broadcast on 3 December 2007. Former Brookside actor Sloane was cast as the "mysterious" hairdresser Niall and was introduced by the series' producer Bryan Kirkwood. During Sloane's portrayal of Niall on-screen, he was central to a storyline involving the already-established McQueen family and it was revealed Niall was the illegitimate son of Myra McQueen. The storyline featured Niall seek revenge on the McQueens, which concluded in highly advertised episodes featuring Niall kidnapping his siblings and causing the death of his half-sister Tina Reilly. Niall was portrayed by upcoming actor Devon Jackson, the older brother of Hollyoaks actor Kieron Richardson, in flashback scenes depicting Niall's childhood.
