Else Flebbe was a German figure skater who competed in both singles and pair skating. She was the German pair national champion in 1924 with Rudolf Eilers. [1] She later represented Germany in the women's singles event at the 1928 Winter Olympics. [2] At her last international competition, the 1931 European Championships, she placed eighth. [3]
Figure skating is a sport in which individuals, pairs, or groups perform on figure skates on ice. Elena Viktorovna Berezhnaya is a Russian former pair skater. With partner Anton Sikharulidze, she is the 1998 and 1999 World champion, 1998 Olympic silver medalist and 2002 Olympic champion.
The World Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union. Medals are awarded in the categories of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. Generally held in March, the World Championships are considered the most prestigious of the ISU Figure Skating Championships. Ekaterina "Katia" Alexandrovna Gordeeva is a Russian figure skater. With her late husband Sergei Grinkov, she is the 1988 and 1994 Olympic Champion, a four-time World Champion, a three-time European Champion, the 1990 Goodwill Games champion, 1987 Soviet champion, and 1994 Russian champion in pair skating. After Grinkov's death, Gordeeva continued performing as a singles skater.
Anna "Annie" Hübler was a German pair skater, born in Munich. She was an Olympic champion and two-time World champion with skating partner Heinrich Burger.

The Four Continents Figure Skating Championships (4CC) is an annual figure skating competition. The International Skating Union established it in 1999 to provide skaters representing non-European countries with a similar competition to the much older European Figure Skating Championships. The event's name refers to the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance.

The European Figure Skating Championships is an annual figure skating competition in which figure skaters compete for the title of European champion. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The event is sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU) and is the sport's oldest competition. The first European Championships was held in 1891 in Hamburg, Germany and featured one segment, compulsory figures, with seven competitors, all men from Germany and Austria. It has been, other than five periods, held continuously since 1891, and has been sanctioned by the ISU since 1893. Women were allowed to compete for the first time in 1930, which is also the first time pairs skating was added to the competition. Ice dance was added in 1954. Only eligible skaters from ISU member countries in Europe can compete, and skaters must have reached at least the age of 15 before July 1 preceding the competition. ISU member countries can submit 1-3 skaters to compete in the European Championships.
Aljona Savchenko is a Ukrainian-born German pair skater. One of the most decorated pair skaters, she is the 2018 Olympic Champion and a two-time Olympic bronze medalist, a six-time World Champion, a four-time European Champion, and a five-time Grand Prix Final champion.

Maylin Wende is a German pair skater. With husband and partner Daniel Wende, she is the 2010 Trophée Eric Bompard bronze medalist, the 2013 Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, and a two-time German national champion. They have competed twice at the Winter Olympics and have placed as high as sixth at the European Championships.
Matteo Guarise is an Italian pairs figure skater and roller skater. Currently competing in pair skating with partner Lucrezia Beccari, he is the 2024 European champion, a two-time ISU Grand Prix medalist, 2023 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist and 2024 Italian national silver medalist.
Annika Maria Hocke is a German pair skater. With her skating partner, Robert Kunkel, she is the 2023 European bronze medalist, the 2023 Skate America champion, 2022 Grand Prix de France bronze medalist, and has won five medals on the ISU Challenger Series, including gold at the 2022 CS Finlandia Trophy. They won two bronze medals on the 2019–20 ISU Junior Grand Prix series. Domestically they are the 2023 German national champions.
Minerva Fabienne Hase is a German pair skater. With her current partner, Nikita Volodin, she is the 2023–24 Grand Prix Final champion, a two-time ISU Grand Prix gold medalist and two-time ISU Challenger Series medalist.
Rebecca Ghilardi is an Italian pair skater. With her skating partner, Filippo Ambrosini, she a two-time European Championship medalist, the 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo champion, a six-time ISU Challenger Series medalist, the 2024 Italian national champion, and a five-time Italian national silver medalist (2019-2023). The pair represented Italy at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Leonardo-Christian Azzola is a German former competitive figure skater. Competing in pair skating with Claudia Massari, he won two national titles and represented West Germany at the 1984 Winter Olympics. He is the 1982 Nebelhorn Trophy champion in men's singles.
The 2022 European Figure Skating Championships were held from 10 to 16 January 2022 at the Tondiraba Ice Hall in Tallinn, Estonia. Medals were awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance. The competition determined the entry quotas for each federation at the 2023 European Championships. Tallinn was announced as the host in June 2019. The city had previously hosted the competition in 2010.
Sofiia Yuriyivna Holichenko is a Ukrainian pair skater. With her skating partner, Artem Darenskyi, she competed in the final segment at the 2022 European Championships and is a two-time Ukrainian national champion and the 2023 CS Golden Spin of Zagreb brone medalist.
