The Embassy of Kuwait in London is the diplomatic mission of Kuwait in the United Kingdom. [1] It is located just off Knightsbridge at Albert Gate, one of the entrances to Hyde Park. It is situated immediately opposite the French Embassy. [2]
The building, along with the rest of Albert Gate, was the creation of British architect Thomas Cubitt; at the time of their construction in the 1840s they were by far the tallest structures in the neighbourhood. [3]
Kuwait also maintains a Health Office at 40 Devonshire Street, Marylebone and an Investment Office at Wren House, 15 Carter Lane, City of London. [4]
In 2011 a protest was held outside the embassy by Kuwaiti Bidoons alleging that the Kuwaiti government discriminates against their community. [5]
Knightsbridge is a residential and retail district in central London, south of Hyde Park. It is identified in the London Plan as one of two international retail centres in London, alongside the West End. Knightsbridge is also the name of the roadway which runs near the south side of Hyde Park from Hyde Park Corner.

It was the location of the Qing Empire's detention of Sun Yat-sen, an important episode in the Chinese revolution of 1911. It remains today the focal point for events relating to China held in the United Kingdom, including celebrations in 2012 to commemorate 40 years of diplomatic relations between the UK and the People's Republic of China.

The Embassy of Turkey in London is the diplomatic mission of Turkey in the United Kingdom. There was an embassy of the Ottoman Empire in London dating from 1793; this was suspended in 1914 following the outbreak of the First World War and replaced by the embassy of the new Republic of Turkey in 1924. From 1901-1954 the embassy was located at 69 Portland Place before moving to its current location; however this building was kept and is currently used as the Ambassador's Residence.

The embassy building, along with the Ethiopian Embassy and the Polish Institute and Sikorski Museum, is one of a group of Grade II listed stucco buildings.

The main building and Consular section is located at 5 and 6-7 Kensington Palace Gardens at the junction with Bayswater Road; the Ambassador's Residence is located in a separate building at 13 Kensington Palace Gardens. Russia also maintains a Defence Attaché's Office at 44 Millfield Lane, Highgate, and an Office of the Trade Representative at 33 Highgate West Hill, Highgate.
The Embassy of Afghanistan in London was the primary diplomatic mission of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to the United Kingdom. Three years after the fall of its recognized government, the remaining staff of the embassy reportedly closed the embassy at the request of the United Kingdom government. The building formerly occupied by the embassy is located at 31 Princes Gate in London's South Kensington district.
