The Embassy of Turkey in The Hague is the chief diplomatic mission of the Republic of Turkey in the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The current Turkish Ambassador to the Netherlands is Selçuk Ünal. [1]
Outside The Hague, there is also Turkish Consulate Generals in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, and Deventer where the senior officer is known as the Consul-General. As the Turks are the largest minority in the Netherlands, [2] the four Turkish diplomatic missions in the country serve for various causes.
The seat of the ambassador was first held by Yahya Karaca Paşa on 28 December 1859. [3] Since then, diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and the Ottoman Empire was held through the embassy until when the Ottoman Empire collapsed in 1922 and made its way to its successor state, the Republic of Turkey. [4]
On 12 October 1979, the son of the then incumbent Turkish ambassador Ahmet Benler was assassinated by gunmen on his way to school in Delft University. [5]
The foreign policy of the Netherlands is based on four basic commitments: to the Atlantic cooperation, to European integration, to international development and to international law. While historically the Kingdom of the Netherlands was a neutral state, since 1945 it has become a member of NATO, the United Nations, the European Union and many other international organizations. The Dutch economy is very open and relies on international trade. During and after the 17th century—its Golden Age—the Dutch built up a commercial and colonial empire. It was a leading shipping and naval power and was often at war with England, its main rival. Its main colonial holding was Indonesia, which fought for and achieved independence after 1945. The historical ties inherited from its colonial past still influence the foreign relations of the Netherlands. Foreign trade policy is handled by the European Union. The Dutch have been active in international peacekeeping roles.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is the governmental body responsible for conducting foreign relations of the Republic of Turkey. The Ministry is responsible for Turkey's diplomatic missions abroad and for the promotion of Turkish culture, as well as for implementing the country's foreign policy in accordance with its national interests. Established on 2 May 1920, its primary duties are administering diplomatic missions, negotiating international treaties and agreements, and representing the Republic of Turkey at the United Nations. The ministry is headquartered in the Turkish capital of Ankara and counts on more than 200 missions as embassies, permanent representation offices and consulates general, abroad. As of 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs maintains 235 diplomatic posts worldwide. The current Minister of Foreign Affairs is Hakan Fidan, who has held the position since 3 June 2023.
Denmark–Turkey relations are the current and historical relations between Denmark and Turkey. Denmark has an embassy in Ankara, and Turkey has an embassy in Copenhagen. Both countries are members of NATO and Council of Europe. Diplomatic relations between Denmark and Turkey were put under pressure in 2014 because of the Jyllands-Posten Muhammad cartoons controversy and the Roj TV affair (Roj TV's broadcasting license was suspended by the Supreme Court in Denmark on February 27, 2014). Denmark is a member of the European Union, Turkey is not a member.
Netherlands–Romania relations are the bilateral relations between the Netherlands and Romania. The Ambassador to Romania is concurrently accredited to Moldova. Romania has an embassy in The Hague and honorary consulates in Heeg, Rotterdam and Venlo. The Netherlands has an embassy in Bucharest, honorary consulates in Cluj-Napoca, Timișoara and Constanța, and since 2016 an office in Chișinău in Moldova.
Netherlands–Ukraine relations are foreign relations between the Netherlands and Ukraine. The two countries established diplomatic relations in 1992. Notable incidents in their relations include was the shoot-down of Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 in 2014 and the 2016 Dutch Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement referendum. the Netherlands is a member of the European Union, which Ukraine applied for in 2022. Both countries are full members of Council of Europe.
Dutch–Finnish relations are foreign relations between the Netherlands and Finland. The Netherlands recognised Finland's independence on 28 January 1918. Diplomatic relations between them were established on 14 August 1918. The Netherlands has an embassy in Helsinki and consulates. Finland has an embassy in the Hague, an honorary consulate general in Amsterdam and other honorary consulates in Rotterdam and Terneuzen. Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe, the European Union and NATO. The Netherlands supported Finland's NATO membership during Finland's accession into NATO, which was finalized on 4 April 2023.

Albania has an embassy in the Hague and the Netherlands has an embassy in Tirana.
Diplomatic relations exist between Azerbaijan and the Netherlands. Azerbaijan have an embassy in The Hague. the Netherlands has an embassy in Baku. Both countries are full members of the Council of Europe. Azerbaijan celebrated its 30th anniversary with the Netherlands on April 1, 2022.

The Embassy of Georgia in The Hague is the diplomatic mission of Georgia to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It is located at Lange Vijverberg 12 in The Hague. The Embassy was established in 2007 after the establishment of diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Netherlands on April 22, 1992 and relocated to its current address in 2017. Prior to the opening of the Embassy, Georgia covered diplomatic relations with the Netherlands through its diplomatic mission in Brussels.
Embassy of Ukraine in the Netherlands is the diplomatic mission of Ukraine in The Hague, Netherlands. Since 2023, Oleksandr Karasevych is the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The Embassy of the Philippines in The Hague is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of the Philippines to the Kingdom of the Netherlands. First opened in 1959, it is located in the Archipelbuurt neighborhood of The Hague's city center, where it has been since 1968.
The Embassy of Turkey in Mexico City is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Turkey to the United Mexican States. It is located in the Lomas de Chapultepec neighborhood of Mexico City.
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in The Hague is the diplomatic mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the Netherlands. The embassy is located in Scheveningen district of The Hague and is currently headed by Ambassador Mayerfas which was appointed by President Joko Widodo on 14 September 2020.
