The Embassy of the United States in The Hague (Dutch : Ambassade van de Verenigde Staten van Amerika in Den Haag) is the diplomatic mission of the United States in the Netherlands. It is located at John Adams Park 1 in Wassenaar, [1] on the municipal border with The Hague.
The current American embassy building in Wassenaar opened on January 29, 2018. [2] It replaced the former embassy building at the Lange Voorhout 102 in The Hague, [3] which was opened on July 4, 1959; [4] it housed the U.S. diplomatic mission to the Netherlands for nearly 60 years. This building in The Hague's city center was designed by architect Marcel Breuer and was designated a national monument in 2017. [5]
Notable Americans such as former Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams, General Hugh Ewing and Iraq Envoy L. Paul Bremer have held the title of United States Ambassador to the Netherlands. [6]

The Consulate General of the United States in Jerusalem was a diplomatic mission of the United States of America that provided consular services to Palestinian residents in Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza. It was not accredited to any government. In May 2018, the United States relocated its Tel Aviv embassy to Jerusalem, and in mid-October 2018, U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced that the Consulate General would be merged with the new US Embassy in Jerusalem and that relations with the Palestinians would be conducted through a special Palestinian Affairs Unit inside the Embassy. On 4 March 2019, the Consulate General was merged into the US Embassy and formally ceased operations. In May 2021, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced that Washington will reopen the consulate, without specifying a date. In September 2021, Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh called on the US administration to speed up the reopening of the Consulate General in Jerusalem to handle direct contacts with the Palestinians.

The U.S. Consulate General in St. Petersburg is a former diplomatic mission of the USA in Saint Petersburg, providing consular services to Russian and American citizens in Northwestern Russia. The consulate general ceased its operations on March 30, 2018, at the request of the Russian authorities.
