Emory is a census-designated place (CDP) in Washington County, Virginia, United States. The population was 1,237 at the 2020 census [1] down from 1,251 at the 2010 census. [2] The community is named for and is the location of Emory and Henry College. [3]
It is part of the Kingsport-Bristol-Bristol, TN-VA MSA, which is a component of the Johnson City –Kingsport–Bristol, TN-VA Combined Statistical Area – commonly known as the "Tri-Cities" region.
The Emory post office was established in 1847. [4]
