The English Constitution Party (ECP) is an English nationalist political party in England. It claims to promote English independence and knowledge about the English constitution. At present it has no elected members at any government level.
It believes that the Act of Union should be voided, which will mean that English citizens will then have common law protections under the English constitution.[ clarification needed ] [3]
According to Hope not Hate, the party has a "strong tendency towards conspiracy theories" and its leader, Graham Moore, is a "former member of the English Democrats and a QAnon promoter". [4] The party's 2024 general election candidate for Romford, Colin Birch, described the party as "a true libertarian party". [5] Moore has said the party is for "libertarians and real true Conservatives". [6]
They fought the 2022 Southend West by-election after the murder of David Amess. [7] They ran in the 2024 United Kingdom general election in a number of constituencies including St Helens North, Chorley, Romford and Broxbourne, receiving 0 seats.
During and following the 2024 United Kingdom riots, ECP leader Graham Moore called for organised resistance against the British police and government, also saying that there would be groups willing to arm the English. [8]
In March 2025, Moore offered complete leadership and ownership of the party to recently ousted Reform UK MP Rupert Lowe. [9]
Mr Moore says the English Constitution Party is one for "libertarians and real true Conservatives".
