Ergotelis Football Academy is the football academy system of Greek professional football club Ergotelis. It is the largest youth sports academy on the island of Crete, hosting over 40 age-based boys' and girls' football departments, and one of the largest in Greece, registering over 900 children and adolescents aged 6−21 years old. [1] The academy currently maintains various competitive departments, including the club's official youth team (Under-19), as well as an additional other 3 age-based sister clubs, all subsidiaries to the Gymnastics Club Ergotelis (Neoi Ergoteli, Kanaria Ergoteli, Martinengo). Ergotelis' U19 team currently plays in the Greek Football League's youth competition (Football League U19), while the other three teams participate at various levels of the Heraklion Football Clubs Association League system. Kanaria Ergoteli (Greek : Κανάρια Εργοτέλη, transliterated Ergotelis' Canaries) is a sister club to Ergotelis and a subsidiary to the parent sports club of the same name. It was founded in 1995,. [6] After several years inactive, the club reverted to full operation in 2015. [6] It acts as an unofficial U−17 youth team. They compete in the regional Heraklion FCA B Division, the third tier of the regional League system, and by the club board's decision, are ineligible for promotion.

Martinengo (Greek : Μαρτινέγκο, named after the Martinengo bastion on top of which the Ergotelis Athletic Centre is located) is a sister club to Ergotelis and a subsidiary to the parent sports club of the same name. It is the most recent football department established by the club, founded in 2016 to act as an unofficial U−15 youth team. [8] They compete in the regional Heraklion FCA C Division, the fourth tier of the regional League system, and by the club board's decision, are ineligible for promotion.

Irodotos Football Club, short for Podosferikós Athlitikós Sýllogos Alikarnassoú Iródotos and also simply known as Irodotos, is a Greek football club, based in Nea Alikarnassos, Heraklion. The club is named after the ancient historian Herodotus, descended from Halicarnassus, Asia Minor, whose bust is also used as the club logo. Irodotos was established in 1932 by refugees from Asia Minor, who were displaced following the Greco-Turkish War in 1922. By acclamation, Irodotos is considered the third most successful club in Heraklion in terms of achievements, due to its consistent presence in the Second and Third national divisions, but has maintained a considerable fan base, and a longstanding rivalry with local Superleague side OFI, despite the fact the two haven't met in national competitions for almost 30 years. G.S. Ergotelis Basketball, also known simply as Ergotelis, is a Greek amateur basketball club, part of the multi-sport club Gymnastics Club Ergotelis, that is based in Heraklion, Crete. The club's basketball department currently competes in the Greek C Basket League, and was officially founded in 1968, the same year it joined the registers of the Greek Federation of Sporting Clubs. In 1983, Ergotelis was one of the clubs that signed the establishment of the Cretan Basketball Associations Union. Currently, both men's and women's basketball departments are amateur clubs, that host home games at the Lido Indoor Hall in Heraklion, a basketball court with a capacity of 1,400 spectators. Ergotelis currently holds the record for most regional titles won in Crete, having won a total of 16 regional Championships and 3 Cretan Cups, since the Cretan Local Basketball Committee, the governing body of basketball on the island, was founded in 1968.
The Heraklion Football Clubs Association is an association responsible for administering football in the region of Heraklion. It is based in the city of Heraklion and is a member of the Hellenic Football Federation. The association is responsible for organizing regional Championship and Cup competitions for both adult and youth teams playing in its divisions.
The «Nikos Kazantzakis» Stadium, formerly known as Ergotelis Stadium and more commonly as Martinengo Stadium, is a football stadium located on the Martinengo bastion, part of the fortifications of Heraklion, on the island of Crete. It is named after Modern Greek literature giant Nikos Kazantzakis, whose grave is also located on the same bastion. It is part of the Ergotelis Athletic Centre, a sport facilities complex owned by Greek multi-sport club Ergotelis. Built in 1946, as Ergotelis Stadium, it was the traditional home ground of Greek football club Ergotelis until 2004, when the club moved to the Pankritio Stadium, Heraklion's largest and most modern sports venue. The complex currently houses the Ergotelis Youth Academy, the largest youth sports academy on the island of Crete, and one of the largest in Greece, while the stadium itself is still used as the home ground of multiple Heraklion football clubs playing in the Heraklion Football Clubs Association amateur league system. It has a capacity of about 1,000 spectators, of which approximately 600 can be seated.
