Apostle Eric Kwabena Nyamekye is a Ghanaian Pentecostal televangelist, an apostle and the 6th Chairman of The Church of Pentecost (COP), Nationwide , the largest Pentecostal denomination in West Africa. He is the President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council( GPCC) and the Chancellor of the Pentecost University. He holds a diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Commercial Management, UK, a postgraduate diploma in Applied Theology from the University of Manchester, UK, and a master of Arts degree in Religious Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon. Eric Nyamekye was born to Stephen Antiedu Nyamekye and Agnes Owusu in Asokore. [2]
After completing Tema Secondary School in 1983, he went to Nyankpala Agricultural College in the Northern Region, where he obtained a certificate in General Agriculture in 1986. He also holds a diploma in Human Resource Management from the Institute of Commercial Management, UK, a post-graduate diploma in Applied Theology from the University of Manchester, UK and a Master of Arts Degree in Religious Studies from the University of Ghana, Legon [2]
He worked for three years with the Technology Consultancy Centre, KNUST, before he going into full-time ministry in the Church of Pentecost in 1991. [1] His first ministry station was Daboase District in the Western Region between 1991 and 1995, then to Agona Nsaba in the Central Region to serve until 1999 [1] where he was ordained as a pastor in 1996.
He was sent on missions to the Republic of South Africa, from 1999 till 2005, when he was recalled back to Ghana and stationed at East Legon, where he served as a district pastor until 2008. Until 2011, he was the resident minister of the Atomic branch of the Pentecost International Worship Centre. He was later called into the Office of Apostle and transferred to Tamale as area head from 2011 to 2015. In May 2018 at the 43rd General Council Meeting of the Church of Pentecost, he was elected the 6th Chairman of the Church of Pentecost. [3]
The Church of Pentecost on May 4, 2023 re-elected Nyamekye to serve as its Chairman for the next five years. [4]
The Central University is a Private university in Ghana, founded by the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC). It was founded as a pastoral training institute by Mensah Otabil in 1988. In June 1991, it was known as the Central Bible College. It later became the Central Christian College in 1993 and eventually became the Central University College in 1998. In 2016, Central University College attained the status of a fully-fledged University thus now Central University. The Pentecost University is a private university located at Sowutuom in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. It was founded by The Church of Pentecost (COP) and evolved from The Pentecost Bible College which initially trained only Lay Leaders and full-time Ministers for the COP. On May 22, 2003, J. A. Kufuor, the former President of Ghana, inaugurated PUC at the Sowutuom campus. The first PUC Council was inducted on May 6, 2004. Pentvars was accredited by the National Accreditation Board (NAB), Ghana in November 2004 and awarded its Presidential Charter on May 28, 2020, by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, the President of the Republic of Ghana. Prior to receiving a Presidential Charter, the university was affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, University of Cape Coast, and University of Ghana. On June 1, 2020, the university announced the appointment of Rev. Prof. Kwabena Agyapong-Kodua, who replaces Apostle Daniel Okyere Walker, as the first Vice-Chancellor since the university became fully-fledged.

In 1999, he was assigned to serve Ghanaian congregations in London, United Kingdom. There in 2003, before returning to Africa, he founded the E.P. Church, UK.

Apostle Professor Kwadwo Nimfour Opoku Onyinah is a Ghanaian theologian, a televangelist, a composer and the fifth chairman of The Church of Pentecost from 2008 to 2018. He founded the Pentecost International Worship Centre, a ministry of The Church of Pentecost in 1993. He holds a doctor of philosophy degree in theological studies from the University of Birmingham (2002) and a master of theology in applied theology from Regents Theological College. He is the last of the Apostles who walked with the founder of The Church of Pentecost, Pastor James McKeown. Onyinah joined the ministry of The Church of Pentecost in 1976 and has served in various positions, including rector of Pentecost University College, an executive council member and the first International Missions Director of the church. He is also an adjunct lecturer at the Pentecost Theological Seminary. Onyinah served as a member of National Peace Council in Ghana, the president of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council from 2011 to 2019, chairman of the Ghana Evangelism Committee from 2010 to date, co-chairman of Empowered21 Africa from 2013 to date, advisory board member of International Review of Mission since 2013, member of the Committee of World Pentecostal Theologians in Dialogue with the Catholic Church since 2011, member of a standing committee of Health and Healing of World Council of Churches/DIFAM, 2005–2010, member of the Commission on World Mission and Evangelism of World Council of Churches since 2007, and a member of the editorial board of the Journal of Pentecostal Theology since 2007.

Paul Kwabena Boafo is a Ghanaian theologian and minister who served as the twelfth Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church Ghana from 2018 to 2024. He previously served as the Administrative Bishop of the Church. He is the first ordained minister to serve in both capacities in the episcopal history of the Ghanaian Methodist Church. Boafo also served as the Protestant Chaplain of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He is also the Chancellor of Methodist University Ghana.

Prior to his appointment as moderator he served as the President of the Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon for 7 years. In August 2018, Joseph Obiri Yeboah Mante was elected the new Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana (PCG), to succeed Cephas Narh Omenyo, the then incumbent, who had been ill for over a year and the General Assembly had to take a decision to declare the moderator seat vacant to allow new leadership.
