Ertl is a town in the district of Amstetten in Lower Austria.

History

In ancient times, the area that is now Ertl was part of the province of Noricum.

The territory was inhabited in the Middle Neolithic period (c. 2500 BC), as evidenced by the discovery of some stone axes, tools, and other artifacts of the period. [3]

The present town was formed in 1922, from portions of the parishes of St. Peter, and Waidhofen. Ertl became an independent parish in 1930. [4]

He played for several notable football clubs during his career, including Sturm Graz, Crystal Palace, Sheffield United, and Portsmouth FC. After retiring from professional football, Ertl became the spokesperson for the Portsmouth F.C. supporters' trust and also served as the assistant coach of the Portsmouth under-16s team.

WSG Tirol Association football club in Austria

Wattener Sportgemeinschaft Tirol, commonly known as WSG Tirol, is a professional association football club based in the town of Wattens, Tyrol, Austria, that competes in the Austrian Football Bundesliga, the top tier of the Austrian football league system. Founded in 1930, it is affiliated to the Tirol Football Association. The team plays its home matches at Tivoli Stadion Tirol, where it has been based since 2019. In the 1969–70 season they played in the Nationalliga, the highest division in Austrian football at this time.
