The 1904 Summer Olympics were an international multi-sport event held in St. Louis, Missouri, United States, from 29 August to 3 September 1904, as part of an extended sports program lasting from 1 July to 23 November 1904, located at what is now known as Francis Field on the campus of Washington University in St. Louis. This was the first time that the Olympic Games were held outside Europe.

Erwin Fassbind is a Swiss bobsledder who competed in the late 1980s. He won two gold medals in the four-man event at the FIBT World Championships, earning them in 1986 and 1987. He also competed in the four man event at the 1988 Winter Olympics.
Søren Marinus Jensen was a Danish sport wrestler who competed in the 1906 Intercalated Games and the 1908 and 1912 Summer Olympics. He won medals at each Game; however, the gold medals he won at the 1906 Games are no longer considered to be Olympic medals. He remains Denmark's most successful wrestler at the Olympics. In addition, he was World Champion in 1905 and won multiple European championship silver medals.

Erwin José Caraballo Cabrera is an amateur Venezuelan Greco-Roman wrestler, who competes in the men's heavyweight category. He won two bronze medals for the 96 kg division at the 2007 Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. Caraballo also defeated Mexico's Joel López for the gold medal in the same division at the 2010 Central American and Caribbean Games in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico. Caraballo is a member of the wrestling team for La Puente Sporting Club, and is coached and trained by Milcho Radulovski.
Rolf Scherrer is a retired amateur Swiss freestyle wrestler, who competed in the men's heavyweight category. Scherrer has achieved a total of eighteen Swiss championship titles, picked up the top eight spot at the World Championships (2002), and represented his nation Switzerland in two editions of the Olympic Games. Before his wrestling career ended in 2009, Scherrer trained full-time for Ringerclub Willisau under his personal coach Erwin Mühlemann.
Kenneth Bruce Reinsfield is a New Zealand wrestler. He competed in the men's freestyle 82 kg at the 1984 Summer Olympics. His younger brother Steve is also an Olympic wrestler.
