Espen Bugge Pettersen (born 10 May 1980) is a Norwegian former footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He was capped seven times for the Norway national team. Bugge Pettersen is currently managing director at Sandefjord Fotball. [1]
Bugge Pettersen started his career in the local clubs Tønsberg FK and Eik-Tønsberg, and moved to Sandefjord Fotball before the 2002season. In the nine seasons he played in Sandefjord, he played 240 of 250 possible league matches.
On 31 July 2010, it was announced that Bugge Pettersen was sold from Sandefjord to Molde FK, signing a 3+1⁄2-year contract. [2] In his second season in Molde, he won the league championship with Ole Gunnar Solskjær as manager, and won the Kniksen award as the best goalkeeper in Tippeligaen. [3] Bugge Pettersen played 123 consecutive first-team matches for Sandefjord and Molde, from he missed the Tippeliga-match against Start on 1 October 2007, until Solskjær decided to let the second-choice goalkeeper, Elias Valderhaug, play the last two league-games after Molde won Tippeligaen in 2011. [4]
On 12 December 2014, Bugge Pettersen signed a two-year contract with Strømsgodset. [5]
He made his international debut on 29 May 2010 against Montenegro, when he replaced Rune Jarstein as a substitute in the 89th minute. [6] The last couple of years, Bugge Pettersen have been Norway's second-choice goalkeeper, with Rune Jarstein being the first choice. [7] As of November 2012 he has been capped seven times, [8] and he started his first international game in a friendly matches against Thailand on 18 January 2012.
Espen Bugge Pettersen is married to Lene Syversen, and together they have two children Storm and Pernille. [9]

Molde Fotballklubb is a professional football club based in Molde, Norway, that competes in Eliteserien, the top flight of Norwegian football. Founded on 19 June 1911, the club was originally known as International and changed its name to Molde in 1915. Molde are five-time league champions and six-time Norwegian Cup winners, and have finished second in the league a further eleven times. Molde is one of only two Norwegian clubs to have participated in the UEFA Champions League.
The Kniksen Award, established in 1990, honors the best players in the Norwegian football premiership. The award is named after the legendary Norwegian football player Roald Jensen, nicknamed "Kniksen".

Rosenborg were the defending champions, having secured their twenty-second League Championship on 24 October 2010. Sogndal, Sarpsborg 08 and Fredrikstad entered as the three promoted teams from the 2010 1. divisjon. They replaced Hønefoss, Kongsvinger and Sandefjord who were relegated to the 2011 1. divisjon.

Molde were defending champions in Tippeligaen and played through qualification for UEFA Champions League. Molde entered the Champions League in the second qualifying round, where they eliminated Ventspils before and facing Basel of Switzerland in the third qualifying round. They lost 1–2 on aggregate and were knocked out, dropping down into the Play off round of the UEFA Europa League. Molde successfully defended their title on 11 November 2012, when they beat Hønefoss 1–0, whilst their closest title challengers, Strømsgodset lost 2–1 away to Sandnes Ulf.

Molde Fotballklubb is a football club from Molde, Norway. It was established in 1911 as International by a group of people gathered by Klaus Daae Andersen. After permission was granted, it took the current name and joined the league system in 1928. Until 1937, Molde played in regional leagues, after numerous promotions and relegations. Since 1930, the team has played in the Norwegian Football Cup. In 1939, the club joined the third season of the League of Norway, the top division, but the break-out of the World War II caused a halt to all organized sports and thus this season was never completed.
