Etteridge (Scottish Gaelic : Eadrais) is a small remote hamlet, situated close to Loch Etteridge in Inverness-shire, Scottish Highlands and is in the Scottish council area of Highland.
The main A9 road bypasses the hamlet.

Acharn is a hamlet in the Kenmore parish of the Scottish council area of Perth and Kinross. It is situated on the south shore of Loch Tay close to its eastern end. The hamlet was built in the early 19th century to house workers from the surrounding estates. A watermill was constructed to harness the power of the nearby Acharn Burn, and this was converted into a craft centre in the 1970s, and later into a private residence. There is a bridge in the middle that goes over the Acharn burn.
Aldersyde is a hamlet in Alberta, Canada within the Foothills County. Located between Highway 2 and Highway 2A south of Highway 7, the hamlet is approximately 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) southeast of Okotoks, 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) north of High River and 25 kilometres (16 mi) south of Calgary. The Canadian Pacific Kansas City Aldersyde subdivision runs through the hamlet.
New York State Route 85 (NY 85) is a state highway in Albany County, New York, in the United States. It is 26.49 miles (42.63 km) in length and runs from CR 353 in Rensselaerville to Interstate 90 (I-90) exit 4 in Albany. It also has a loop route, NY 85A, which connects NY 85 to the village of Voorheesville. The portion of NY 85 north of NY 140 to the Bethlehem–Albany town/city line is known as the Slingerlands Bypass. From there north to I-90, the road is a four-lane freeway named the Crosstown Arterial.

Careston is a hamlet in Angus, Scotland, that is in the parish of the same name, 5 miles west of Brechin. The parish and hamlet supposedly took their name from a stone laid in commemoration of a Danish chieftain, called Caraldston. It has a castle and church, although the local primary school closed in 2004.
Lunan is a hamlet in Angus, Scotland, in the parish of the same name, 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) south of Montrose. The hamlet overlooks Lunan Bay, which is itself also a hamlet, at the mouth of the Lunan Water. A 16th-century priest of Lunan church, which is in the hamlet of Lunan Bay, Walter Mill, was one of the last Scottish Protestant martyrs to be burned at St. Andrews. The church itself was rebuilt in 1844. The 15th-century Red Castle, so called from the red sandstone it is built from, is located 500 metres (1,600 ft) to the south of the hamlet, on the south bank of the Lunan Water.
Kirriemuir is hamlet in east-central Alberta, Canada within Special Area No. 4. It is located on Highway 12, approximately 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) west of Altario. It has an elevation of 730 metres (2,400 ft).

It is located on the north side of a Canadian Pacific rail line 2.9 km (1.8 mi) west of the intersection of Highway 36 and Highway 542. It is 10 km (6.2 mi) west of the City of Brooks and 7.5 km (4.7 mi) south of the Trans-Canada Highway.
Gartness is a hamlet in Stirling, Scotland. It is located 1.8 miles/2.9 km from Killearn and 3.1 miles/5 km from Drymen. Most pupils attend Killearn Primary School and senior pupils attend Balfron High School. The Endrick Water passes through the hamlet.
