Euphoria is an annual four-day music and camping festival held in Austin, Texas. Euphoria focuses on electronic music but includes hip hop, indie, and jam band artists. The festival also features camping, art installations, live painting, yoga and workshops. The festival debuted in 2012 and was held for the sixth time in the spring of 2017. Over 50,000 attendees gathered at Carson Creek Ranch for Euphoria 2017. The 2018 festival, newly titled Finding Euphoria, took place on May 12. [1]
The 20 acre venue, part of Carson Creek Ranch, sits on the bank of the Colorado River and is approximately five minutes from the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport by car. The 2017 festival site featured three stages: Euphoria, Elements and the Dragonfly Amphitheater. The campgrounds located across Carson Creek hosted over 5,000 campers, plus another exclusive stage and silent disco. [2]
Finding Euphoria 2018, announced on February 7, 2018, is a one-day festival scheduled for May 12 at Carson Creek Ranch. The May event is part of a new series concept for Euphoria, called the Finding Euphoria Series. The Series includes shows in Austin throughout the year, as well as community events like yoga, group dinner and movie night. With the 2018 announcement, Euphoria also introduced a car camping option to the festival event, which features two nights of camping.
Euphoria 2017 showcased a diverse group of artists, ranging from EDM to hip hop. [3] The festival lasted four days and also hosted a variety of activities, workshops, and camping. [4] Euphoria also continued their partnership with Keep Austin Beautiful as a part of their Ecophoria initiative. [5]

Euphoria 2015 remained at Carson Creek Ranch in Austin, Texas. The lineup showcased major names in EDM and drew in approximately 10,000 people per night. [8]
Euphoria 2014 was held on April 25–26 and changed to a new venue, moving to its current home at Carson Creek Ranch in Austin, Texas. For the first time, Euphoria included overnight camping and diversified experiences like yoga sessions and an art gallery. [9] Approximately 4,000 people attended the festival each day. [10]
In 2013 Euphoria expanded to a two-day festival and the venue changed to The Whitewater Amphitheater in New Braunfels, Texas. [11] The attendance was roughly 3,000 per day. [12]
Euphoria debuted on April 7, 2012 as a one-day event at Thunderhill Raceway in Kyle, Texas. [13] Approximately 2,000 people attended. [14]

Jimmy LaFave was an American singer-songwriter and folk musician. After moving to Stillwater, Oklahoma, LaFave became a supporter of Woody Guthrie. He later became an Advisory Board member and regular performer at the annual Woody Guthrie Folk Festival.
The Summer Camp Music Festival is a multi-day music festival created by Jay Goldberg Events & Entertainment and held annually on Memorial Day Weekend at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, Illinois. The event typically attracts around 20,000 visitors, of which between 8,000 and 10,000 arrive before gates open. In 2014, it was listed as one of the top 40 music festivals in Rolling Stone.
Electric Forest is a four-day, one-weekend, multi-genre event with a focus on electronic and jam band genres, held in Rothbury, Michigan, at the Double JJ Resort. In 2017 and 2018, the festival expanded to two weekends back to back, before switching back to one weekend for 2019. The original event debuted in 2008 under the name Rothbury Festival, and focused on jam bands and rock bands. The event was not held in 2010 nor 2020; the COVID-19 pandemic was to blame for the latter. Electric Forest, which began in 2011, is co-produced by Madison House Presents and Insomniac Events. The 2015 event drew an estimated 45,000 attendees.

Circuit of the Americas (COTA) is a Grade 1 FIA-specification 3.426-mile (5.514 km) motor racing track and facilities located within the extraterritorial jurisdiction of Austin, Texas. The facility is home to the Formula One United States Grand Prix, the IndyCar Classic, and the Motorcycle Grand Prix of the Americas, a round of the FIM Road Racing World Championship, as well a round of the Americas Rallycross Championship. It previously hosted the Australian V8 Supercars, the American Le Mans Series, the Rolex Sports Car Series, the FIA World Endurance Championship, and the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. NASCAR began racing at the circuit in 2021.

Cherubs are an American noise rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in 1991. Their line up consisted of guitarist Kevin Whitley, bassist Owen McMahon, and drummer Brent Prager. During their initial run, they released two albums and an outtake compilation, all of which were released through Trance Syndicate. They broke up in 1994, shortly before the release of their second album Heroin Man. They reunited in 2014 and a third full-length, titled 2 YNFYNYTY, was released on March 3, 2015, through Brutal Panda Records. A second reunion album, titled Immanculada High, was issued through Relapse Records on July 26, 2019.

Margaret Moser, or Margaret Moser Malone, was an American journalist, music enthusiast, critic and historian, groupie, and backup singer. She was best known for her work as the director of the Austin Music Awards (AMA) in the South by Southwest festival and for her career in music journalism and criticism, which lasted more than thirty years. Moser also supported young artists, helping them get started and finding appropriate venues where they could play. She has been called the "patron saint of Austin music" by the Paramount Theatre.
