Ewa Kozanecka (born 29 May 1974) is a Polish politician. Previously a member of NSZZ Solidarity,Kozanecka served as a trade union leader of the Municipal Water and Sewage Workers' Council in Bydgoszcz. [1] Joining Law and Justice,she was first elected to the Sejm in the 2015 Polish parliamentary election representing the constituency of Bydgoszcz. [2] [3] Re-elected in 2019,she however lost her seat in the 2023 election. [4]
Donald Franciszek Tusk is a Polish politician and historian who has served as the prime minister of Poland since 2023,having previously held the office from 2007 to 2014. From 2014 to 2019 Tusk was President of the European Council,and from 2019 to 2022 he was the president of the European People's Party (EPP). She previously was Marshal of the Sejm from 2011 to 2014,the first woman to hold the office,as well as Prime Minister of Poland from 2014 to 2015. In addition,Kopacz was Minister of Health from 2007 until 2011. Since 2001,she has been a member of Civic Platform,which she chaired from 2014 to 2016. Kopacz succeeded Donald Tusk as prime minister,becoming the second woman to hold the office after Hanna Suchocka (1992–1993). Her term as prime minister ended on 16 November 2015,when she was succeeded by Beata Szydło.
