Exequiel Bellaflor Javier (born October 16,1946) is a Filipino politician and lawyer. He served six terms as a Member of the House of Representatives,representing the Lone District of Antique from 1987 to 1998,and from 2001 to 2010. He has also served as the governor of the province of Antique. He is currently partner at the Romulo Mabanta Buenaventura Sayoc &de los Angeles law firm. [1]
A graduate of the Ateneo de Manila Law School,Javier is the younger brother of Antique governor Evelio Javier,a political ally of Corazon Aquino who was assassinated during Aquino's presidential campaign in 1986. Javier himself was elected to one term as Antique governor,serving from 1998 to 2001. In three successive elections,his foe Arturo Pacificador tried to gain back his seat he had lost when he was ousted in the People Power Revolution,but lost.
On February 3,2015,Javier was formally removed from office by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and Commission on Elections (Comelec) for violating the Omnibus Election Code when he ordered the suspension of Valderrama Mayor Mary Joyce Roquero during the 2013 election period.
Maria Corazon "Cory" Sumulong Cojuangco-Aquino was a Filipino politician who served as the eleventh President of the Philippines from 1986 to 1992. She was the most prominent figure of the 1986 People Power Revolution,which ended the two-decade rule of President Ferdinand Marcos and led to the establishment of the current democratic Fifth Philippine Republic.

The Second EDSA Revolution,also known as the Second People Power Revolution,EDSA 2001,or EDSA II,was a political protest from January 17–20,2001 which peacefully overthrew the government of Joseph Estrada,the thirteenth president of the Philippines. Following allegations of corruption against Estrada and his subsequent investigation by Congress,impeachment proceedings against the president were opened on January 16. The decision by several senators not to examine a letter which would purportedly prove Estrada's guilt sparked large protests at the EDSA Shrine in Metro Manila,and calls for Estrada's resignation intensified in the following days,with the Armed Forces withdrawing their support for the president on January 19. On January 20 Estrada resigned and fled Malacañang Palace with his family. He was succeeded by Vice President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo,who had been sworn into the presidency by Chief Justice Hilario Davide Jr. several hours earlier.

Renato "Rene" Salud de Villa is a Filipino former police and military officer and government official. He served as Chief of Philippine Constabulary,Director-General of the Integrated National Police,and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines. He then served as Secretary of National Defense under presidents Corazon Aquino and Fidel V. Ramos. He founded Partido para sa Demokratikong Reporma for his unsuccessful presidential bid in 1998. He then briefly served as Executive Secretary under President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
The United Nationalist Democratic Organization (UNIDO) was the main political multi-party electoral alliance of the traditional political opposition during the turbulent last years of Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos in the mid-1980s. It was formed in January 1980,and was originally known as the United Democratic Opposition from 1980 to 1982. It was initially a union of eight major and minor political parties and organizations with the main aim to oust President Marcos through a legal political process. In April 1982,the coalition received its present name,and increased its members to twelve parties. Shortly after the assassination of popular opposition senator Benigno Aquino Jr.,the party was led by Senator Salvador Laurel of Batangas.
Ceferino "Joker" Paz Arroyo Jr. was a Filipino statesman and key figure in the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution that ousted dictator Ferdinand Marcos. He was a Congressman for Makati from 1992 to 2001 and Senator from 2001 to 2013. Arroyo received various awards and commendations for his significant contributions to the law profession and public service. Among these are the Philippine Bar Association's Most Distinguished Award for Justice as a "man beholden to no one except to his country" and Senate Resolution No. 100 enacted in the 8th Congress citing his invaluable service to the Filipino people. He was also known for being the thriftiest legislator,earning the title of "Scrooge of Congress",as he only had few staff members without bodyguards and did not use his pork barrel funds. In 2018,Arroyo was identified by the Human Rights Victims' Claims Board as a Motu proprio human rights violations victim of the Martial Law Era.

In 2018,Javier was identified as a Motu Propio human rights violations victim of the Martial Law Era by the Human Rights Victims Claims Board.
Benjamin Santos Abalos Sr. is a Filipino politician who currently serves as the mayor of Mandaluyong,Metro Manila since 2022,a position he also held from 1986 to 1987 and from 1988 to 1998. He also served as a chairman of the Commission on Elections and chairman of the MMDA. As a private citizen,he also serves as the president of the Wack Wack Golf and Country Club and president of the Golfers Association of the Philippines. He is the father of former Mandaluyong mayor and Interior and Local Government Secretary Benjamin "Benhur" Abalos Jr. His paternal grandson is politician,Jonathan Clement Abalos.
Prospero Rafael Castillo Nograles also called "Boy Nogie Nograles," was a Filipino politician who served as the speaker of the House of Representatives from 2008 to 2010. He was the first speaker from Mindanao in a hundred years of Philippine legislative history.
