F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FBXW5 gene. [5]
This gene encodes a member of the F-box protein family, members of which are characterized by an approximately 40 amino acid motif, the F-box. The F-box proteins constitute one of the four subunits of ubiquitin protein ligase complex called SCFs (SKP1-cullin-F-box), which function in phosphorylation-dependent ubiquitination. The F-box proteins are divided into three classes: Fbws containing WD-40 domains, Fbls containing leucine-rich repeats, and Fbxs containing either different protein-protein interaction modules or no recognizable motifs. The protein encoded by this gene contains WD-40 domains, in addition to an F-box motif, so it belongs to the Fbw class. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified for this gene, however, they were found to be nonsense-mediated Messenger RNA decay candidates, hence not represented. [5] Well established targets of FBXW5 include TSC2 [6] and SEC23B. [7]
FBXL3 is a gene in humans and mice that encodes the F-box/LRR-repeat protein 3 (FBXL3). FBXL3 is a member of the F-box protein family, which constitutes one of the four subunits in the SCF ubiquitin ligase complex.
F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 1A (FBXW1A) also known as βTrCP1 or Fbxw1 or hsSlimb or pIkappaBalpha-E3 receptor subunit is a protein that in humans is encoded by the BTRC gene.
F-box/WD repeat-containing protein 7 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FBXW7 gene.
F-box only protein 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FBXO5 gene.
F-box only protein 7 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FBXO7 gene. Mutations in FBXO7 have been associated with Parkinson's disease.
Lysine-specific demethylase 2A (KDM2A) also known as F-box and leucine-rich repeat protein 11 (FBXL11) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the KDM2A gene. KDM2A is a member of the superfamily of alpha-ketoglutarate-dependent hydroxylases, which are non-haem iron-containing proteins.
F-box/LRR-repeat protein 5 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FBXL5 gene.
F-box only protein 4 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FBXO4 gene.
