FH JOANNEUM is one of the biggest universities of applied sciences (UAS) in Austria. It has about 5,000 students and about 750 employees. [1] The main campus is located in Graz and there are two additional locations in Kapfenberg and Bad Gleichenberg. All three are situated in the province Styria in Austria. FH JOANNEUM offers almost 70 degree programs in a variety of areas including business, technology, design, media, architecture, health and social services. The programmes are practice-oriented, project-based and interdisciplinary.
FH JOANNEUM was established in 1995. In 2001 the campus in Bad Gleichenberg started to offer health related degree programmes.
The FH JOANNEUM offers almost 70 bachelor's and master's degree programs and postgraduate courses at six departments and 26 institutes. The six departments are:
In addition to broad-based programs, there are courses with specialized focus, such as "Energy, Transport and Environmental Management", "eHealth" or "Advanced Electronic Engineering". Some new programs cover fields which have not yet been offered in Austria as university studies, for example, the midwifery education.

The Department of International Relations takes care of all exchange students from the university (for study or internship) going abroad (outgoings) and from abroad coming to the university (incomings). It acts as a contact point for partner universities. The department also organizes German courses (as a foreign language) and holds events and excursions.
FH JOANNEUM has approximately 200 partner universities in Europe, Asia, South America, North America and Australia / New Zealand.
ÖH joanneum is the student union (ÖH) of FH JOANNEUM. It exists since the winter semester 2005/2006 and has since become an integrated part of the Teaching Board. By anchoring the FH student representatives in the Austrian Students' system, ÖH joanneum has become a legally established body. The activities of ÖH joanneum include representing the interests of FH JOANNEUM students at a higher level (e.g. As in the Federal Representation of Students' Union). Since autumn 2010 ÖH joanneum is also working on the magazine "JOE", educational issues and the organization of studies and the student life at home and abroad. The first edition was published in January 2011.

It was founded in 1811 by Archduke John of Austria and is the oldest science and technology research and educational institute in Austria. It currently comprises seven faculties and is a public university. It offers 19 bachelor's and 36 master's study programmes across all technology and natural sciences disciplines. Doctoral training is organised in 14 English-speaking doctoral schools. The university has more than 17,000 students, and around 1,900 students graduate every year. The Graz University of Technology and the University of Graz co-operate in teaching and research of natural sciences.
The UTSA Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design (CEID) houses The University of Texas at San Antonio's Engineering and Architectural, Construction and Planning programs. It was originally founded as the College of Engineering but was renamed to the Klesse College of Engineering and Integrated Design (CEID) in 2021.

The McMaster Faculty of Engineering is a faculty located at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. An academic department of the University of Warwick and a centre of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, WMG was founded by Kumar Bhattacharyya in 1980 to help reinvigorate UK manufacturing and improve competitiveness through innovation and skills development.
The Schulich School of Engineering is the accredited engineering school of the University of Calgary located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. It currently has 4,610 enrolled students and over 150 faculty members. The school offers seven engineering degree programs.
The Enhancing Student Mobility through Online Support (ESMOS) project is a European-funded partnership between higher education institutions from Austria, Bulgaria, Italy, Lithuania and the United Kingdom. It has the aims of developing, evaluating and modelling the use of Virtual Learning Environments and online technologies to support students who take part in either a study exchange (ERASMUS) or work placement programme (LEONARDO), spending part of their studies overseas.
The Universalmuseum Joanneum is a multidisciplinary museum with buildings in several locations in the state of Styria, Austria. It has galleries and collections in many subject areas including archaeology, geology, paleontology, mineralogy, botany, zoology, history, art and folk culture. It is the oldest museum in Austria as well as the largest universal museum in central Europe with over 4.5 million objects in 13 departments and 12 locations in the Styrian cities of Graz, Stainz, Trautenfels, and Wagna. To reflect this status and its growth over the last two centuries, as well as to present a more recognizable image internationally, the Landesmuseum Joanneum was officially renamed to Universalmuseum Joanneum on 10 September 2009.

Eggenberg is the 14th city district of Graz in the Austrian province of Styria. It borders to the districts of Lend and Gries in the east and to the Plabutsch mountain in the west. The name originates from the Eggenberg palace and its founding family the House of Eggenberg.
Eggenberg Palace in Graz, is the most significant Baroque palace complex in the Austrian state of Styria. With its preserved accouterments, the extensive scenic gardens, as well as some special collections from the Universalmuseum Joanneum housed in the palace and surrounding park, Schloss Eggenberg ranks among the most valuable cultural treasures of Austria. Eggenberg Palace is situated at an elevation of 381 meters on the Western edge of the city. Its architectural design and the still visible imprint of centuries of history continue to bear witness to the vicissitude and patronage of the one-time mightiest dynasty in Styria, the House of Eggenberg.
The Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University Loerrach (DHBW-Loerrach) was founded in 1981 as Berufsakademie Lörrach. It offers workplace-focused, cooperative degree courses. This means that students alternate between learning the theory at school and applying it on the job in a three-months rhythm. Besides Loerrach, seven other schools of cooperative education and three branch campuses were founded in Baden-Wuerttemberg since the beginning of 1974.
