FIBA Africa Under-20 Championship

The FIBA Africa Under-20 Championship was a basketball competition in the International Basketball Federation's FIBA Africa zone. The event was held four times before being cancelled in 2004. The winner competed in the FIBA Under-21 World Championship.

The Tunisia men's national basketball team, nicknamed The Eagles of Carthage, represents Tunisia in international basketball. The team is governed by the Tunisia Basketball Federation (FTBB). To date, she has taken part in the regional championship the AfroBasket 23 times. In terms of the number of successful performances, it is inferior to the traditionally strong teams of Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, and Egypt. In 2011, the Tunisian national team became the champion of Africa for the first time in its history, defeating the Angola team in the AfroBasket 2011 final. The Angolan Basketball Federation is the governing body of official basketball competitions in Angola. FAB was founded in 1976, with Mr. José Jaime de Castro Guimarães serving as chairman. The federation was first housed at Rua Rainha Ginga and later moved to the current address on the ground floor of an apartment building located in the Cidadela Sports Compound. FAB oversees the activities of the 18 provincial basketball associations in the country. Typically the federation has a 42-member staff, including 3 members of the general assembly, 3 from the audit committee, 5 from the legal board, 5 from the disciplinary board and 16 collaborators while the management is made up of 10 members.

The 2004 FIBA Africa Basketball Club Championship, was an international basketball tournament held in Cairo, Egypt, from November 20 to 27, 2004. The tournament, organized by FIBA Africa and hosted by Al Ahly, was contested by 7 teams in two groups, in a preliminary round robin system followed by a knockout stage.

The 2003 FIBA Africa Championship for Women was the 16th FIBA Africa Championship for Women, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and the FIBA Africa thereof. The tournament was hosted by Mozambique from December 18 to 28, with the games played at the Pavilhão do Maxaquene in Maputo and in Nampula.

The 2004 FIBA Africa Under-20 Championship was the fourth and last FIBA Africa Under-20 Championship, played under the rules of FIBA, the world governing body for basketball, and the FIBA Africa thereof. Senegal hosted the tournament from July 23 to August 1, 2004.

The home arena of the team is the Palais des Sports de Treichville.
