The FIBA Under-21 World Championship was a men's under-21-only basketball competition organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA). It was known as the FIBA 22 & Under World Championship before FIBA lowered the age limit to 21 years in December 1998, and had its name changed to World Championship for Young Men. The competition adopted its final name in 2004. FIBA later discontinued the world championship for this age group. [1]

The USA Basketball Men's National Team, commonly known as the United States men's national basketball team, is the basketball team representing the United States. The Israeli national under-20 basketball team represents the country in various FIBA youth tournaments. 3x3 basketball is a variation of basketball played three-a-side, with one backboard and in a half-court setup. According to an ESSEC Business School study commissioned by the International Olympic Committee, 3x3 is the largest urban team sport in the world. This basketball game format is currently being promoted and structured by FIBA, the sport's governing body. Its primary competition is an annual FIBA 3X3 World Tour, comprising a series of Masters and one Final tournament, and awarding six-figure prize money in US dollars. The 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, the 18th edition of FIBA's premier international tournament for women's national basketball teams, was held in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain from 22 to 30 September 2018. This was the first edition to use the name of FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup. After the last edition in 2014, FIBA changed the name of the competition from the FIBA World Championship for Women, in order to align its name with that of the corresponding men's competition.

The Yugoslavia men's national under-21 basketball team was the men's basketball team, administered by Basketball Federation of Serbia and Montenegro, that represented FR Yugoslavia in international under-21 men's basketball competitions, consisted of the FIBA Under-21 World Championship (1993–2005). The event was originally referred to as the World Championship for Men '22 and Under'.
