The Garden of Sinners, known in Japan as Kara no Kyoukai sometimes referred to as Rakkyo (らっきょ), is a Japanese light novel series, written by Kinoko Nasu and illustrated by Takashi Takeuchi. Originally released as a series of chapters released independently online or at Comiket between October 1998 and August 1999, the chapters were later republished by Kodansha into two volumes in 2004, and again in three volumes between 2007 and 2008.
Kalafina (カラフィナ) was a Japanese vocal group formed by composer Yuki Kajiura in 2007, mainly to perform theme songs for the anime The Garden of Sinners, but later expanded to include many other theme songs for other anime shows and films including the Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Black Butler, The Heroic Legend of Arslan and Fate/stay night franchises. They released five albums that have charted in the top 10 for Oricon. They disbanded in 2018–19.

She was one of the vocalists of the FictionJunction project started by Yuki Kajiura, and was a core member of the vocal group Kalafina. She is currently signed with Victor Entertainment with a solo career, having released two albums and an EP that have charted on Oricon.

The single peaked at No. 4 on Japan’s weekly Oricon singles chart, having reached 37,259 units. As of 2013, Kimi no Gin no Niwa has become the best-selling single of Kalafina.
