Faisz Musthapha is a Sri Lankan lawyer and diplomat.
Musthapha is the son of S. M. Musthapha,a leading lawyer who practised in Kandy. [1] [2] He was educated at the University of Ceylon. [3]
Musthapha is married to Ameena (Fathima). [1] [4] Their son Faiszer is a lawyer and government minister whilst their daughter Faisza is also a lawyer. [1] [2] [5]
Musthapha has been practising law since the mid-1960s and is a President's Counsel. [1] [6] He served as chairman of the Human Rights Commission of Sri Lanka from 2000 to 2003. [7] [8] [9]

Neelakandan Tiruchelvam,PC was a Sri Lankan Tamil lawyer,academic,human rights activist and politician. He was a Member of Parliament and Director of the International Centre for Ethnic Studies. Shirani Bandaranayake,the 43rd Chief Justice of Sri Lanka,was impeached by Parliament and then removed from office by President Mahinda Rajapaksa in January 2013. Bandaranayake was accused of a number of charges including financial impropriety and interfering in legal cases,all of which she has denied. The impeachment followed a series of rulings against the government by the Supreme Court,including one against a bill proposed by Minister Basil Rajapaksa,President Rajapaksa's brother. Bandaranayake was replaced as chief justice by former Attorney General Mohan Peiris. Peiris is considered to be an ally of President Rajapaksa and his appointment is seen by critics as further consolidation of power by the president and his family. Bandaranayake refused to recognise the impeachment and lawyers groups refused to work with the new chief justice. Bandaranayake's controversial impeachment drew much criticism and concern from within and outside of Sri Lanka. On 28 January 2015 she was reinstated and retired on 29 January,the next day.

Yasantha Kodagoda is a Puisne Justice of the Supreme Court of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. He was called to the Bar as an Attorney-at-Law of the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka on 28 October 1988. Prior to being appointed by the President of Sri Lanka as the President of the Court of Appeal in March 2019,he served as an Additional Solicitor General of the Attorney General's Department. He obtained Master's degree in Public International Law with Merit (LL.M.) from the University College London (UCL) He acted as the Director of the Advanced Legal Studies Unit of the Sri Lanka Law College and the Director of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies of the Incorporated Council of Legal Education. He has served many Commissions of Inquiry as representative Counsel of the Attorney General. For over a decade,he has represented Sri Lanka before the UN Human Rights Commission and the UN Human Rights Council. He has also represented Sri Lanka before the UN Security Council's Working Group on Children in Armed Conflict,and has served as the Accredited Representative of the Government of Sri Lanka at the UN Committee Against Torture. He was a member of the EU-Sri Lanka Working Group on Trade and Economic Relations Cooperation 2016 and actively participated in Sri Lanka gaining the GSP+ trade concessions.
