Falcon's Creative Group (also known under the name Falcon's Treehouse) is an experience design and theme park design company based in Orlando, Florida. [1] The company was founded in 2000 by Cecil D. Magpuri, [2] [3] [4] the current President and Chief Creative Officer. [5] [6] In 2021, Falcon's Creative Group launched Falcon's Beyond Global, an overhead enterprise that combined Katmandu and their partnering IPs to bring clients to the international market space. Opening in 2005, Curse of DarKastle is a 4D dark ride found within the Oktoberfest area of Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Curse of DarKastle was designed by Falcon's Treehouse, and featured a ride-system by Oceaneering Entertainment Systems. Curse of DarKastle was named one of top 25 dark rides in the world. [8]
In 2009, alongside the opening of City of Dreams Casino in Macau, two attractions designed by Falcon's Treehouse opened the Dragon's Treasure theater. Dragon's Treasure plays at "The Bubble", an immersive 360-degree dome theater. [9] Falcon's Treehouse produced the media content for Dragon's Treasure. [10]
Turtle Trek opened in 2012 at SeaWorld Orlando, it is a 3D dome theater, and the first in the world to show a 3D film in 360 degrees. Falcon's Treehouse provided the attraction design, and media production services for the attraction. [11] [12]
Chimelong Ocean Kingdom opened in 2014 in Hengqin, Zhuhai, China, and Falcon's Creative Group provided attraction design and media production services for two attractions including the Ocean Avenue Media Canopy, and Deep Sea Odyssey Dark Ride. In 2015 Chimelong Ocean Kingdom won the Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement, marking the first time the award was given to a Chinese theme park. [13]
In 2012, it was announced that Falcon's Treehouse had been selected by the IMG Group (Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group) to design the attractions and overall masterplan of the upcoming IMG Worlds of Adventure theme park in Dubai. [14] [15] IMG Worlds of Adventure has four zones, two of which feature characters from the intellectual properties of Cartoon Network and Marvel Comics. IMG Worlds of Adventure covers an area over 1.5 million square feet, making it the largest indoor themed entertainment destination in the world. [16] [17]
In November 2016, "Heroes and Legends" opened and includes a 4D multisensory theater and interactive exhibits which make up a part of the new U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame. Falcon's Creative Group was the designer, media producer and executive producer of Heroes and Legends. [18] [19] [20]
In 2016, Falcon's Creative Group announced their involvement with the design of the Hunger Games attractions within the Lionsgate Zone at Motiongate Dubai. [21] The attractions at the Lionsgate Zone to be opened in early 2017, are the Panem Aerial Tour and the Capitol Bullet Train. [22]
In 2017, Falcon's Creative Group announced their involvement with the design of the National Geographic Encounter walkthrough experience being produced by SPE Partners, alongside a team of Academy Award, Grammy, and Emmy award winning artists including Pixomondo, and David Kahne. The attraction officially opened on October 6, 2017. [23]
Battle For Eire [24] is a multi-sensory virtual reality motion simulator ride located in the Ireland area of the Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Falcon’s Creative Group was contracted by SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment to provide a turnkey solution for all of the media and sound production throughout the attraction, as well as the virtual reality hardware. In 2018, Atlantis Sanya [26] an 'Underwater World'-inspired entertainment destination by Atlantis Resorts opened in Hainan Island. Falcon's provided thematic and interior design services as well as art direction for two of the resorts’ highly themed areas: Lost Chambers Aquarium and Aquaventure Waterpark. [27]
Halo: Outpost Discovery [28] is a touring fan experience that brings the Halo video game universe to life with themed attractions and interactive in-universe encounters. Falcon’s Creative Group worked closely with Herschend Live and 343 Industries and provided the narrative, story development, live-action film production, CG animation, visual effects, motion graphics, sound design, and interactive audio for a wide array of experiences throughout Halo: Outpost Discovery. [29] The experience traveled to five different U.S. cities in 2019. [29]
Falcon’s Creative Group collaborated with the National Geographic Museum and the Jane Goodall Institute to provide six multimedia experiences for the “Becoming Jane: The Evolution of Dr. Jane Goodall” exhibition [30] The exhibition immerses visitors in Jane Goodall’s story of becoming the first person to live among and study wild chimpanzees, humankind’s closest living relatives. The exhibition is open to the public at the National Geographic Museum from November 22, 2019 to summer 2020.
Universal Studios Florida is a theme park located in Orlando, Florida, that opened on June 7, 1990. Owned and operated by NBCUniversal, it features numerous rides, attractions, and live shows that are primarily themed to movies, television, and other aspects of the entertainment industry. Universal Studios Florida was the first of three theme parks to open at Universal Orlando Resort, joined later by Universal Islands of Adventure in 1999, and Universal Volcano Bay in 2017. In 2019, it ranked eleventh in the world – sixth in North America – for overall attendance among amusement parks with approximately 10.9 million visitors. A fourth park, Universal Epic Universe, is expected in 2025.

Chimelong Paradise is a major amusement park in Panyu District, Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. Opened on April 12, 2006, Chimelong Paradise is the largest amusement park in China and boasts the 10 Inversion Roller Coaster, which prior to the opening of The Smiler at Alton Towers, England shared the record for most inversions with Colossus at Thorpe Park in Surrey, England. It is classified as a AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration.

Curse of DarKastle was a dark ride located at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia. It was a hybrid dark ride which combined roving motion-simulating vehicles, 3D projection animation, physical sets, in-vehicle audio, and special effects. Curse of DarKastle carried a rider height requirement of 42 inches, but with a sign warning that scenes within the attraction may be too intense for young audiences. The ride took place in an abandoned Bavarian castle, haunted by evil ghosts and a demonic werewolf.
Dynamic Structures of the World is a Canadian company with a history of steel fabrication dating back to 1927. They create amusement rides, theme park rides, observatory telescopes and other complex steel structures.
The Marine Life Park is a part of Resorts World Sentosa, Sentosa, situated in southern Singapore. The 8-hectare (20-acre) park is home to two primary attractions—the S.E.A. Aquarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark. Upon its opening in 2012, the S.E.A. Aquarium had the distinction of being the world’s largest oceanarium and public aquarium, a title it held through 2014, until it was surpassed by Chimelong Ocean Kingdom.
Legacy Entertainment is a themed entertainment integrator and design firm based in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The company, then known as Gary Goddard Entertainment (GGE) and later the Goddard Group, was formed by Gary Goddard in 2002, after leaving his previous company, Landmark Entertainment Group. Goddard Group reorganized, changed ownership, and was rebranded Legacy Entertainment in 2018 when Gary Goddard left the company following accusations of sexual assault.
Turtle Trek was a 3D dome film projection theater located at SeaWorld Orlando in the United States. It was designed by Falcon's Treehouse and PGAV Destinations.
Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin was a motion-based, trackless dark ride at SeaWorld Orlando. There is a penguinarium that served as the ride's post-show.
Thierry Jean-Andre Coup is the Chief Experiential Futurist at JOCOUP Creative. Coup began his career working in the film industry, performing set design and visual effects. He moved into theme park design in the early 1990s when Walt Disney Parks and Resorts offered him a position with Walt Disney Imagineering. In 1995, he transferred over to Universal Creative and led projects such as The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, Transformers: The Ride, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter - Diagon Alley and Super Nintendo World.
Chimelong Ocean Kingdom is a theme park situated in Hengqin, Zhuhai, People's Republic of China. It was designed by PGAV Destinations. The park broke ground on November 28, 2010 and soft-opened on January 28, 2014. The grand opening occurred on March 29 of that year. The first phase of the park cost RMB 10 billion to build. It is part of the Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort, which aims to become the "Orlando of China". In 2023 the park hosted 12.52 million visitors, making it the sixth-most visited theme park in the world and the most visited theme park in the world that is not a Disney or Universal park.
IMG Worlds of Adventure is an indoor amusement park in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It is located on Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Road within the City of Arabia.
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is a themed area inspired by the Star Wars franchise in Disneyland at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, and Disney's Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. It encompasses 14 acres (5.7 ha) at each park, and is set in the village of Black Spire Outpost, on the remote frontier planet of Batuu, featuring attractions, shops, restaurants and entertainment.
Chimelong International Ocean Tourist Resort is a theme park resort located in Hengqin, Zhuhai, China and owned by Chimelong Group. The resort currently consists of two theme parks, two theaters and four themed hotels. With a 20 billion yuan investment, future plans for the resort include at least two additional theme parks, a new aerial tramway transportation system, and an artificial island. Chimelong expects visitation at Chimelong International Ocean Resort to increase to over 50 million annually once all of the theme parks are operating.
Chimelong Group Co., Ltd. is a Chinese company that owns and operates theme parks in China. The company also owns restaurants, hotels, and other businesses. It is one of the leading Chinese amusement park operators. The company was founded in 1989 by Su Zhigang, a local resident in Panyu, Guangzhou, Guangdong, who first established Xiangjiang Restaurant, his first enterprise under Chimelong Group, prior to its upgrading into the current Xiangjiang Hotel in 1994. Inspired by his success in the catering business, Su, after several field research visits to safari parks overseas, soon set up his mind to open a private zoo; his aim was to allow the Chinese citizens to see wildlife from all over the world, without going abroad. This gave birth to the establishment of Chimelong Safari Park, formerly known as Xiangjiang Safari Park in Guangzhou, China, the biggest wildlife theme park in Asia at present.

Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi is the world's second largest indoor theme park in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, owned and developed by Miral at a cost of $1 billion. The park features characters from Warner Bros.'s franchises, such as Looney Tunes, DC Comics, Hanna-Barbera, and others. The park is located on Yas Island near Ferrari World, Yas Waterworld and CLYMB Abu Dhabi, and is the third Warner Bros. theme park. The WB Hotel is the first Warner Bros. themed hotel and is located adjacent to the theme park. The park contains 29 rides, and several shows.
Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is a multiple-launch steel roller coaster located in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade section of Universal Islands of Adventure at Universal Orlando. Manufactured by Intamin, the attraction opened to the public on June 13, 2019. The partially-enclosed motorbike coaster operates both indoor and outdoor, and it is the sixth Harry Potter-themed attraction created for the resort. Universal marketed the ride as "a highly-themed roller coaster" that focuses on "a different corner of the wizarding world".
