The Los Angeles Times wrote that "there's modest warmth rather than roaring fire from the Eagles' bassist, whose first solo album in 11 years is steeped in '70s R&B- tinged classic rock a' la you know who." [11] The Birmingham Mail called the album "easy on the ear, country-flavoured soft-rock which sounds great on the open road with the top down and the wind in your hair." [12] The Sacramento Bee deemed it "a solid showcase for Schmit's musical talents, from svelte vocal harmonies to polished songwriting." [9]
I Can't Stand Still is the debut solo studio album by American musician Don Henley, drummer and co-lead vocalist for the Eagles. It was released in August 1982 by Asylum Records. Henley, Danny Kortchmar and Greg Ladanyi produced the album. I Can't Stand Still achieved gold status, and peaked at No. 24 on the Billboard 200 and at the same position on the UK Albums Chart. Three singles were released from the album, including the hit "Dirty Laundry", which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became Henley's best-selling single. The title track "I Can't Stand Still" reached No. 48 and the track "Johnny Can't Read" reached No. 42 on the charts.
Vertical Man is the eleventh studio album by Ringo Starr, issued in 1998. The album served as Starr's attempt at a commercial comeback following the success of The Beatles Anthology project. Starr enlisted the help of many of his musician friends in making Vertical Man, including Scott Weiland, Brian Wilson, Alanis Morissette, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit, Steven Tyler, and his former Beatles bandmates Paul McCartney and George Harrison. Beatles engineer Geoff Emerick mixed the tracks, and Starr and Mark Hudson served as producers.

The album features covers of various Eagles songs, as performed by country music acts. It was certified 3× Platinum in the United States by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on June 27, 1994, honoring shipments of three million copies in the United States. Several cuts from the album all charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts after the album's release, the most successful being Travis Tritt's rendition of "Take It Easy" at number 21. Common Thread won all of its performers a Country Music Association Award for Album of the Year at the 1994 ceremony.
Tim McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors is the seventh studio album by American country music artist Tim McGraw and the first to feature his band The Dancehall Doctors. It was released in November 26, 2002 by Curb Records and was recorded on a mountaintop studio in upstate New York. Four singles were released. Two songs were in the movie Black Cloud, starring McGraw. The album also included a cover of Elton John's "Tiny Dancer", which was released only to the AC format, although it also reached the country charts from unsolicited airplay. The album debuted at number 2 on the Billboard 200 with first week sales of 602,000 copies.
