Ferncroft Country Club is a country club owned and operated by Affinity Management, located in Essex County, Massachusetts with portions of the club's grounds in the towns of Middleton and Topsfield. The club's entrance is at 10 Village Road in Middleton.

Facilities

Golf facilities

The club's championship golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones. It hosted the LPGA's Boston Five Classic from 1980 through 1990. The total yardage of the course from the back tees is 6,632, and it plays at a par of 72 for men and 73 for ladies. The 543-yard par-5 18th hole is regarded by many, including North Shore Golf and Northshore Magazine, as one of the best finishing holes in Massachusetts. [2]

The club also has an executive course, a practice range and short-game area. Instruction is available. [2]

Tennis courts

The club has four clay courts and four hardcourts, all of which are outdoors. Private lessons, clinics and junior programs are offered. [3]

The Boston Lobsters of World TeamTennis played their home matches at the club from 2008 through 2012. Notable players appearing at the club in that time were Serena & Venus Williams, Anna Kournikova, and Martina Navratilova. [4] [5] [6]

Other facilities

The club has a pool, a fitness room, and a full-service snack bar. [7] The clubhouse has four rooms that are available for hosting weddings and other catered events, including a ballroom, roof deck party space. The Bell & Cannon Room near the ballroom is home to a reclaimed fireplace mantle made by Paul Revere's foundry for the family brownstone in Boston. It was donated by Ferncroft member John Driscoll. The club and its associated housing developments comprise the Forsgate census-designated place.

Congressional Country Club Golf course and country club

Congressional Country Club is a country club and golf course in Bethesda, Maryland, United States. Congressional opened in 1924 and its Blue Course has hosted five major championships, including three U.S. Opens and a PGA Championship. Founding life members include William H. Taft, Woodrow Wilson, Warren G. Harding, Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hoover. It is a biennial stop on the PGA Tour, with the Quicken Loans National hosted by Tiger Woods until 2020. Previously, Congressional hosted the former Kemper Open until its move to nearby TPC at Avenel in 1987. Congressional hosted its third U.S. Open in 2011. The Columbia Country Club, located in Chevy Chase, Maryland, is the successor of the Columbia Golf Club, which was organized on September 29, 1898 by nine men. Originally there were twenty members. The golf course, which opened in 1911, was designed by Herbert Barker. The English Turn Golf and Country Club is a private golf course and country club in the southern United States, located in New Orleans, Louisiana. Formerly a venue of the PGA Tour, its par-72 championship course measures 7,078 yards (6,472 m) from the back tees. It is the home course for the Tulane Green Wave and the University of New Orleans Privateers college golf teams.

Seefeld Nordic Competence Centre

The Seefeld Nordic Competence Centre is a multi-sport venue for nordic skiing located in Seefeld in Tirol, Austria. It consists of a cross-country skiing stadium, the Toni-Seelos-Olympiaschanzes with two ski jumping hills; a normal hill and a medium hill and a shooting range for biathlon. It has previously hosted the 1976 Winter Olympics and the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 and 2019.
