Fight Ready is a mixed martial arts gym based in Scottsdale, Arizona.It is best known for producing Henry Cejudo who is the former UFC Bantamweight Champion and former UFC Flyweight Champion. [1] Deiveson Figueiredo also regained the UFC Flyweight Championship title at UFC 270 after training at Fight Ready. [2] [3]
In 2008, NFL offensive lineman Scott Peters helped established the Arizona branch of the MMA Gym Lion's Den. [4] [5]
Fight Ready was founded in 2011 [6] when Peters along with David Zowine decided to buy out the Arizona branch of the Lion's Den and renamed it to Fight Ready. [1] Currently Zowine is the sole owner of the gym. [1] [7]
Fight Ready was featured as a cover story in the June 2015 issue of Scrapp! Fight Magazine. [8]
The gym provides classes to both adults and children. On June 6 2019, it was featured on KTVK where coach Paris Stanford stated how the gym aimed to provide a safe training environment for the children there. [9] This was in response to discoveries illegal MMA fights featuring minors were being held without sufficient medical support. [9]
The most notable fighter produced by the gym is Henry Cejudo who became a two-weight champion in the UFC Bantamweight and Flyweight divisions simultaneously. [1] His brother, Angel Cejudo [10] and his trainer, Eric Albarracin [11] are both wrestling coaches at Fight Ready.
In addition Deiveson Figueiredo also regained the UFC Flyweight Championship at UFC 270 after training at Fight Ready. [2] [3]
Several former UFC champions have also moved to Fight Ready to train at. They include Jon Jones, [12] Zhang Weilli [2] and Deiveson Figueiredo. [2] In addition, UFC title challengers who have trained at Fight Ready include Chan Sung Jung [2] and Paulo Costa. [11]
In October 2021, former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion, Jon Jones was banned from Jackson Wink MMA Academy due to legal issues stemming from an alleged domestic violence incident against his fiancée. [13] He then moved to Fight Ready to train with Henry Cejudo which attracted some attention. [12] However the gym has stood by its decision. [12]
Henry Carlos Cejudo is an American former professional mixed martial artist and freestyle wrestler. He is the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Flyweight Champion and Bantamweight Champion. He is the fourth UFC fighter to hold titles in two different weight classes simultaneously, and the second to defend titles in two different weight divisions. He is the only person to win an Olympic gold medal and a UFC title. He is considered to be among the greatest combat athletes of all time due to his accomplishments in MMA and freestyle wrestling.

Demetrious Khrisna Johnson is an American mixed martial artist. He currently competes in ONE Championship. He is the inaugural and former UFC Flyweight Champion. Known for his quick striking and elusive movement, Johnson has also landed the most takedowns in UFC flyweight history and co-holds the record for the latest finish in UFC history with a submission win at 4:59 of the fifth round against Kyoji Horiguchi. He is the only UFC fighter to record over 10 takedowns in three different fights. Demetrious Johnson holds the record for most finishes in UFC flyweight history with 7. He is also the ONE Flyweight World Grand Prix Champion. He is currently ranked #1 in the ONE Championship flyweight rankings.
Timothy Samuel Elliott is an American mixed martial artist who currently competes in the Flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He is the former Titan FC Flyweight Champion. He has been professional competitor since 2009 and is currently in his second tenure with the UFC. He is a four-time winner of bonuses in the UFC, winning Fight of the Night three times, Performance of the Night once and won The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions. As of December 20, 2021, he is #12 in the UFC flyweight rankings.
John Anthony Moraga is an American professional boxer and mixed martial artist who competes as a flyweight and featherweight in MMA and boxing, respectively. He is best known for his lengthy career Ultimate Fighting Championship which saw him challenge for the UFC Flyweight Championship in 2013.
Sergio Jerome Pettis is an American mixed martial artist who is currently signed with Bellator MMA, where he is the current Bellator Bantamweight Champion. Currently he coaches professional mixed martial arts competitors from Brazil, and in this capacity participated in The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 2 and The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3. Before that Albarracin trained the Olympic champion and the former UFC Flyweight & Bantamweight Champion Henry Cejudo.
Brandon Carrillo Moreno is a Mexican professional mixed martial artist who currently competes in the flyweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where he is a former UFC Flyweight Champion, and in the process became the first Mexican-born fighter to win a UFC championship.
