The ladies' single skating competition of the 2010 Winter Olympics was held at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The short program was held on February 23, 2010 and the free skating was held on February 25, 2010. Yuna Kim from South Korea won the gold medal setting three world best scores. Mao Asada from Japan became the first lady to accomplish one triple Axel during the short program and two during the free program at the Olympics. [1] [2]

Short program

The ladies' short program was held on February 23, 2010. Yuna Kim (South Korea) finished first with a new world best score. [6] Mao Asada (Japan) finished second. [7] [8] Joannie Rochette (Canada) skated in the competition despite the tragedy of her mother's death two days earlier and finished third. [9]

The pair skating competition of the 2018 Winter Olympics was held at the Gangneung Ice Arena in Gangneung, South Korea. The short program was held on 14 February and the free skating on 15 February 2018. Aljona Savchenko and Bruno Massot became Olympic champions after finishing fourth in the short program and setting a record with their score in the free program to take the gold by 0.43 points. Sui Wenjing and Han Cong, leading after the short program, made a couple of mistakes in the free program and won silver. Meagan Duhamel and Eric Radford were third. This was the second Olympics since 1964 that a Soviet or Russian pair did not win a medal.

The men's singles competition in figure skating at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 8 February and 10 February, at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Haidian District of Beijing. Nathan Chen of the United States won the event, with Yuma Kagiyama of Japan taking the silver medal, and Shoma Uno, also of Japan, winning the bronze. For Chen and Kagiyama, these were their first individual Olympic medals; it was Uno's second following his silver in 2018.

The pair skating competition in figure skating at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 18 February and 19 February, at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Haidian District of Beijing. Sui Wenjing / Han Cong of China, the 2018 silver medalists, won the event. Evgenia Tarasova / Vladimir Morozov, representing the Russian Olympic Committee, won silver, and Anastasia Mishina / Aleksandr Galliamov, also of ROC, bronze.

The ice dance competition in figure skating at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 12 February and 14 February, at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Haidian District of Beijing. Gabriella Papadakis / Guillaume Cizeron of France won the event. Victoria Sinitsina / Nikita Katsalapov, representing the Russian Olympic Committee, won the silver medal, and Madison Hubbell / Zachary Donohue from the United States bronze.
