Cheltzie Lee (born 21 April 1993) is an Australian former competitive figure skater. She is the 2010 national champion and represented Australia at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. She also competed at seven ISU Championships, achieving her best result, tenth, at the 2011 Four Continents.
Cheltzie Lee was born 21 April 1993 in Campbelltown, New South Wales. [1] Her African American mother, Renita, [2] is from Louisiana, [3] and her Chinese father was born in Bangladesh. [4] She practiced gymnastics from age six to twelve. [5] She was left with a permanent spinal defect after a car accident in 2007. [6]
Lee attended Mt Carmel Catholic High School. [7] She then decided to pursue a Bachelor of Inclusive/Primary Education and Disability Studies. [6] In 2017, she married Australian freestyle skier and 2014 Winter Olympian Sam Hall.[ citation needed ]
Lee began learning to skate as a five-year-old, at Canterbury Ice Rink. [2] [5] She debuted on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in 2007 and placed 23rd at the 2008 World Championships. [8]
Lee began the 2009–2010 season at the 2009 Nebelhorn Trophy, competing to earn a spot for Australia in the ladies' event at the 2010 Winter Olympics. She finished as the first alternate. After Israel decided not to send Tamar Katz, Lee was named to the Australian Olympic team. [9] At the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, she placed 18th in the short program with a score of 52.16 points (a personal best) to qualify for the free skate. She finished 20th overall at the Olympics and 17th at the 2010 World Championships. Kylie Fennell, Gloria Pracey, and Andrei Filippov coached her at the Sydney Figure Skating Club. [10]
During the 2010–2011 season, Lee placed tenth at the 2011 Four Continents Championships and 21st at the 2011 World Championships.
Lee decided to take a year off to concentrate on her university studies and to "live a little".[ citation needed ] She returned to competition in June 2012, winning the Hollins Trophy at her home rink of Canterbury and the 2012 WinterSun in Boondall, Queensland.
Lee hoped to qualify for the 2014 Winter Olympics but injuries hindered her training in later years; she tore her posterior cruciate ligament and was also diagnosed with osteitis pubis. [6]

Evgeni Viktorovich Plushenko is a Russian former figure skater. He is a four-time Olympic medalist, a three-time World champion, a seven-time European champion, a four-time Grand Prix Final champion, and a ten-time Russian national champion. Plushenko's four Olympic medals once tied with Sweden's Gillis Grafström's record for most Olympic medals in figure skating, which has since been surpassed by Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue. He also won a record total of 22 titles on the Grand Prix circuit.
Joannie Rochette is a Canadian physician and retired competitive figure skater. She is the 2010 Olympic bronze medallist, the 2009 World silver medallist, the 2008 and 2009 Four Continents silver medallist, the 2004 Grand Prix Final bronze medallist, and a six-time (2005–10) Canadian national champion.
Carolina Kostner is an Italian figure skater. She is the 2014 Olympic bronze medalist, the 2012 World champion, a five-time European champion, and the 2011 Grand Prix Final champion. She is also a medalist at five other World Championships, six other European Championships, and three other Grand Prix Finals, the 2003 World Junior bronze medalist, and a nine-time Italian national champion. Galit Chait is an Israeli former competitive ice dancer. She and her partner Sergei Sakhnovski competed internationally for Israel from 1995 to 2006, becoming the 2002 World bronze medalists.

Elene Gedevanishvili is a Georgian former competitive figure skater. She is a two-time European bronze medalist. In winning the medal in 2010, Gedevanishvili became the first skater from Georgia to medal at an ISU Championships. She has competed at three Winter Olympics: Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010 and Sochi 2014.
Yuna Kim, also credited in eastern name order as Kim Yuna or Kim Yeon-a, is a South Korean retired competitive figure skater. She is the 2010 Olympic champion, the 2014 Olympic silver medalist, a two-time World champion the 2009 Four Continents champion, a three-time Grand Prix Final champion, the 2006 World Junior champion, the 2005 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and a six-time South Korean national champion.

Kevin Reynolds is a retired Canadian figure skater. He is the 2013 Four Continents champion, 2010 Four Continents bronze medallist, 2014 Winter Olympics team silver medallist and a six-time Canadian national medallist. His highest place at a World Championship is fifth, achieved at 2013 World Championships. On the junior level, he is the 2006 JGP Final bronze medallist.

Yulia Vyacheslavovna Lipnitskaya is a Russian retired competitive figure skater. She was part of the Russian team that won the 2014 Winter Olympics team trophy. Individually, Lipnitskaya is the 2014 World silver medalist, the 2014 European champion, the 2013–14 Grand Prix Final silver medalist, and a two-time Russian national silver medalist. As a junior, Lipnitskaya won the 2012 World Junior Championships, 2011–12 Junior Grand Prix Final, and 2012 Russian Junior Championships. She retired from the sport in 2017 due to injuries and anorexia nervosa.
