Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy (FALA) is a public charter high school and middle school in Flagstaff, Arizona. [3] The curricular emphases are college preparatory and performing and visual arts. [4] It is located by the Museum of Northern Arizona, with which it works closely. [5]
FALA was established as a charter high school in 1996 by Karen Butterfield, Arizona's 1993 Teacher of the year. [6] [7] In 2010, FALA built a new campus and added grades 7 and 8. [8] [9] [10] The school added sixth grade in 2017. [11]
The Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy partners with the Museum of Northern Arizona. In 2007 The Manual of Museum Learning said, "Located on the museum's campus, this public charter high school was heralded by the U.S. Department of Education for its academic rigor, unique learning environment, and academic/arts partnership with its museum partner." KNAU is a radio station broadcasting a classical music and news/talk and information format. Licensed to Flagstaff, Arizona, United States, KNAU and its sister stations serve Northern Arizona. The station is currently owned by Northern Arizona University (NAU) and features programming from National Public Radio, Public Radio International, and American Public Media, among other content providers. NAU also owns KPUB, a station devoted to talk programming, and student-run low-power station KLJX-LP. KNAU's programming is heard on KNAA in Show Low and on five translators in northern Arizona, as well as online.

Flagstaff High School (FHS) is a secondary school in Flagstaff, Arizona. Flagstaff High School has been opened to the public since 1923. FHS is a four-year public high school of approximately 1,500 students. The students are primarily of five ethnic groups: White, Native American, Hispanic, Asian, and African-American. Approximately 50 percent of the students are minorities; 147 are from various Native American tribes and live at the Bureau of Indian Affairs KinLani Dormitory. The student body represents a broad socio-economic range from low income to upper middle class. Each year approximately 50 percent of the graduates enroll in four-year colleges and universities and 25 percent in two-year institutions.
Northland Preparatory Academy is a public charter high school and middle school in Flagstaff, Arizona. It aims to provide a college preparatory environment and alternative to public high schools in the area. The courses include various regular, AP, and honors classes, which include World History, American history, Geography, Mathematics, English, Psychology, and various sciences.
Kingman Academy of Learning is a public charter school in Kingman, Arizona for preschool grades through high school. It consists of four campuses with a total enrollment of approximately 1,500 students. It is a member of the Arizona Interscholastic Association. The school was founded in 1995 for preschool to 6th grade. It expanded to include high school with its initial 9th grade class in 2001.
South Beaver Elementary School was an elementary school in Flagstaff, Arizona. The school was a part of Flagstaff Unified School District (FUSD) up until its closure in 2010. However, the school was leased, and later purchased, by Northern Arizona University (NAU) and is now used for the intensive English program for non-native English speakers.
The Cherokee Immersion School is a Cherokee language immersion school in Park Hill, Oklahoma, with a Tahlequah post office address. It is for children during pre-school to grade 8.
