Mister Lies is a musical project started in 2012 by American electronic musician, record producer and multimedia artist Nick Zanca. The project, named after a minor character in Tony Kushner's play Angels in America, was established when Zanca moved to Illinois to attend school at Columbia College Chicago in pursuit of a playwriting degree and started making music in his dorm room with Ableton.
Orchid Tapes is a Canadian–American independent record label based in New York City. It was founded in 2010 in Toronto, Ontario by Warren Hildebrand. Operated by Hildebrand, the label has released a number of indie compilations and original releases on cassette tape, limited edition vinyl, and digital download. Among Orchid Tapes' signed artists are Coma Cinema, Foxes in Fiction, and Alex G. Patrick Schneeweis, better known by his stage name Pat the Bunny, is a retired American musician, singer-songwriter, and producer. He has been the front man of notable folk punk and anarcho-punk groups such as Johnny Hobo and the Freight Trains, Wingnut Dishwashers Union, and Ramshackle Glory. Originally based out of Brattleboro, Vermont, he lived in Tucson, Arizona, during the final part of his musical career. His writing often describes topics such as life under capitalism, drug addiction, and the importance of pursuing radical ways of relating socially and economically, usually through anarchism and the DIY ethic.

The Ophelias are an American rock band from Cincinnati, Ohio. The group first met at a time when each were independently serving as the "token girl" in various male-fronted bands from their hometown. "Coming from varied musical backgrounds, the distinct talents and influences of each member collided in unexpected ways at the band's first rehearsal. It was here the band discovered that their chemistry wasn't rooted in a shared musical reference point, but in the creative relief from the expected censorship of being a side person."
Trust Fund is a musical project founded and led by Ellis Jones while living in Bristol in the southwest of England. Until 2018, both on recordings and live, the band featured a rotating lineup of musicians. They released four full-length albums, the final of which roughly coincided with the decision to disband. In March 2022, Jones revived the Trust Fund moniker and began releasing new singles under the name.

The Microphones were an American indie folk, indie rock, and experimental band, founded and fronted by Phil Elverum. The band has released 5 studio albums, 13 miscellaneous albums, 3 extended plays, and 8 singles. Elverum began the Microphones initially as a solo project, releasing cassette demos of tests and experiments. Between 1996 and 1998, Elverum released four demos, mostly on Bret Lunsford's label Knw-Yr-Own. The CD Tests, released in June 1998, was a compilation album comprising tracks from previous cassettes. The same year, the band released the 7" single "Bass Drum Dream". The band's first studio album, Don't Wake Me Up, was released on K Records in August 1999 and gave the band a small following. Two more 7-inches were released in 1999: "Feedback " and "Moon Moon".
American musician Alex G has released nine studio albums and two EPs, as well as two live albums and a soundtrack album. His first four studio albums were self-released on the music-sharing website Bandcamp. His fifth album, DSU, was released on Orchid Tapes in 2014, and his subsequent releases have been with the label Domino Recording Company. He has also contributed to songs by various artists and bands including Julia Brown, Frank Ocean, Porches, Japanese Breakfast, Nothing and Lil Yachty.
