Foolad Youth Academy was established in 2000 by the Foolad Khuzestan Football Club to help grow the football talent in the province of Khuzestan, in Iran. Foolad has over 400 players and 34 coaches through is different youth ranks. The academy has been extremely successful and has been noted as the country's best academy producing players such as Iman Mobali, Arash Afshin, Bakhtiar Rahmani, and Kaveh Rezaei.

Foolad has active teams in all youth levels. The clubs heavy investment into the youth academy ensures that the majority of the players graduate to become professional footballers in Iran.

Results

In the 2009-10 season the under-14 team became champions of Iran, the under-16 finished runners up, and the u-18 and u-21 teams finished third. Foolad was the only club in Iran to field teams in all four youth levels and they were also the number one producer of players getting selected to different national team levels. [1]

The season featured 14 teams from the 2012–13 Persian Gulf Cup and two new teams promoted from the 2012–13 Azadegan League: Esteghlal Khuzestan and Gostaresh both as champions. The league started on 24 July 2013 and ended on 11 April 2014. Foolad won the Pro League title for the second time in their history. Tractor Sazi's Karim Ansarifard's was the top scorer with 14 goals.

The 2013–14 season was the Persepolis's 13th season in the Pro League, and their 31st consecutive season in the top division of Iranian Football. They were also competing in the Hazfi Cup but were eliminated by Foolad in Quarter-finals. Persepolis was captained by Mohammad Nouri.

They also be competed in the Hazfi Cup which were knockout in the semi-finals by Tractor Sazi and AFC Champions League in Round of 16 by Al-Sadd.
