Rock Star: INXS is the first season of the reality television show Rock Star where fifteen contestants competed to become the lead vocalist for the Australian rock band INXS.
The first season of the VH1 reality television series Flavor of Love brings female contestants into the mansion of Flavor Flav to compete for his love. It aired weekly from January 1, 2006, to April 2, 2006, with a total of ten episodes. This show brought to fame one of the most controversial contestants in reality TV history, Tiffany Pollard, known on the show as "New York".
Rock of Love with Bret Michaels is a competition-driven reality television series starring Bret Michaels, the lead singer of the band Poison. The 12-episode series, which premiered July 15, 2007 on VH1, was created by Cris Abrego and Mark Cronin.

Real Chance of Love is the first season of the VH1 reality television dating series entitled Real Chance of Love. Brothers Ahmad Givens (Real) and Kamal Givens (Chance), former contestants on I Love New York, are the central figures. The show, which premiered October 20, 2008, features seventeen female contestants taking part in various challenges in a format similar to other VH1 and MTV dating contest programs. Each week, women are eliminated until the final episode where the brothers had to make their final selections. Ultimately, Ahmad selected "Corn Fed", while Kamal did not select a winner. The series consisted of 14 episodes.
For the Love of Ray J was a dating show on VH1 that featured hip hop singer Ray J. The program had a format similar to Flavor of Love, I Love New York, and Rock of Love. The Cougar is an American reality television series broadcast by TV Land. The series premiered on April 15, 2009, for an eight-episode run, and it concluded on June 3, 2009. Filmed in Los Angeles, California, the series followed Stacey Anderson, a 40-year-old cougar, in search for a partner among a group of 20 men, all of whom were in their 20s. The men were required to participate in a series of romantic challenges; Anderson assessed the men's performances and subjected the men to weekly elimination ceremonies. Whichever man remained at the end of the competition had the option of pursuing a long-term relationship with Anderson. The series was hosted by American actor Vivica A. Fox.

My Antonio is a reality television show about Antonio Sabàto, Jr., first broadcast on VH1 in 2009. The series followed Sabàto in his search for a partner. A total of 14 single, middle-aged women from different backgrounds, places, and ethnicities arrived in Hawaii to compete for Sabàto's approval. Extra drama was created through the addition of Sabàto's mother and the appearance of his ex-wife, Tully Jensen, as one of the competitors.

Frank the Entertainer in a Basement Affair is a VH1 reality television show starring Frank "The Entertainer" Maresca, who previously starred in I Love New York, I Love Money, and I Love Money 2. Unlike other dating shows, the contestants live with Frank and his parents in a house down the street from Frank's real home. The show premiered on January 3, 2010, with the series to run a total of 11 episodes. Fifteen women competed for his love. The winner was Kerry Schwartz.

X Factor Malta is the Maltese version of the British television music competition The X Factor, created by Simon Cowell.
