A vocational-technical school, often called a vo-tech school, is a high school in the United States and Canada designed to bring vocational and technical training to its students. Proponents claim that students bound for college may be able to use such skills to realize a distinct educational advantage over other students in their major.
The Career Center is a high school located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. It offers an extension to the regular high school program. Classes offered include Advanced Placement courses, career, technical education (CTE) courses, English, and classes too small to be held at the regular high schools in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools program, such as Japanese and Chinese. It also offers extended day classes, which are held after school that allow students to "make up" for a failed class in order to graduate. It moved to a new facility in January 2012 after a bond vote sold its previous facility to Forsyth Tech.

The Manchester School of Technology (MST) is a high school located at 100 Gerald Connors Circle, in Manchester, New Hampshire, United States, part of the Manchester School District. In addition to the typical high school courses, Manchester School of Technology offers courses called "Careers in Technology and Engineering" (CTE), which are programs of study that focus on applied applications, rather than the theoretical or abstract.
