Francis Percy Hodge known as Frank Hodge was an English badminton player. After serving with distinction during the First World War he returned to playing badminton in 1919. A left handed player he was capped 18 times by England between 1919 and 1933. He won three All England titles. [1] [2]

In 1934 he married Molly Kathleen Clara Drake, another member of the Alexandra Palace Badminton Club. He died in 1957. [2] [3]

Albert Prebble Badminton player

Albert Davis Prebble was an English badminton and tennis player and a prominent badminton official. He captained the England badminton team in their first international match against Ireland in 1903. He won the All England badminton men's doubles three times. He also won the badminton mixed doubles in 1909 with Dora Boothby, the same year that he reached the Wimbledon Championships mixed doubles final with the same partner.

Meriel Lucas English badminton player

Emily Muriel Lucas also known as Meriel Lucas (1877-1962) was an English badminton player. Lucas from Devon was capped by England on only seven occasions between 1902-1909 but won a remarkable 17 All England titles.

Archibald Engelbach English badminton player

Archibald Frank Engelbach (1881-1961) was an English badminton player. He competed in the All England Championships winning the Men's doubles title in 1920 under the alias A Fee. He was a schools gymnastic champion before taking up badminton and became a prominent badminton judge. This resulted in him being uncapped for the England team. In 1930 he married Violet Baddeley, also a well known badminton player, daughter of Herbert Baddeley, the four time winner of the Wimbledon doubles. He died on December 1961 at his home in London aged 80.

Dorothy Cundall English badminton player

Dorothy Ursula Cundall was an English badminton player. Born in 1883 in Richmond, London she was a prominent player before the First World War winning three All England titles. In 1912 she married Douglas Harvey. Cundall played as Mrs Harvey afterwards.

Ernest Edward Shedden Hawthorn (1878–1951) was an English International badminton player.

Lavinia Clara Radeglia was an English badminton player. Born in Kensington in 1879 she first played badminton in 1903 at the Richmond Badminton Club. She became an England international in 1909 and won four All England titles. She was a one time editor of the Badminton Gazette and a well known Lawn Tennis player and became a professional tennis coach. She died in 1947 at Budleigh Salterton, aged 68.

Alice Gowenlock English badminton player

Alice Maud Gowenlock was an English badminton player. Born in Lambeth in 1878 she was a prominent player before the First World War and a member of the Richmond BC. She won two All England titles. and played for England just once against Ireland in 1911-12. She died in 1957 at the age of 80 in Worthing, Sussex.

Violet Helen Strachan Elton (1889-1969) was an English badminton player. She started playing badminton in India at the age of seven. After joining a club playing at the Territorial Drill Hall in Kensington she started to come to prominence. She won five All England titles. She was capped nine times by England between 1924 and 1930. Elton died on March 4, 1969 in Sidmouth.

Alan Titherley was an English badminton player. Born in 1903 he started to play badminton in the early 1920s and was soon selected by Cheshire. He was capped by England in the 1931/2 season and made 19 international appearances, the last in 1946/7. He competed in the All England Championships reaching three finals. He later won the All England Veterans doubles three times retiring unbeaten from the event in 1954. He died on 24 June 1963 at his home in Wallasey.

James Chick Doyle Badminton player

James P 'Chick' Doyle was a former Irish badminton player. He was coached by Frank Peard and won ten National Irish titles in the period 1954–1963. His badminton career and All England record was affected by the fact that he emigrated briefly to Australia.

Poul-Erik Nielsen is a former Danish badminton player. He was a doubles specialist winning three All England titles with partners Erland Kops, Finn Kobberø and Inge Birgit Hansen and reached five more finals. He has four National titles to his name and was capped 33 times by Denmark from 1954-1964. He is the elder brother of Knud Aage Nielsen another notable badminton player.

Frank Peard was an Irish badminton player who played for Ireland internationally in the 1940s and 1950s.
