Franz Gattermann (born 25 May 1955) is an Austrian cross-country skier. He competed at the 1976 Winter Olympics and the 1984 Winter Olympics. [1]
The 1968 Winter Olympics, officially known as the X Olympic Winter Games, was a winter multi-sport event held in Grenoble, France, from 6 to 18 February 1968. A total of 1,158 athletes representing 37 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) participated, including first-time entrants Morocco. The games featured 35 events in 6 sports and 10 disciplines. The team relay event in biathlon was contested for the first time.
František Donth, or Franz Donth in German was an Ethnic German Nordic skier who competed for Czechoslovakia in cross-country skiing in the 1920s. He won four medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a gold in the 50 km (1925), two silvers in the 18 km, and bronze in the 50 km (1927).
Franz Wende, also in Czech František Wende was an ethnic German Czechoslovak ski jumper and nordic combined skier who has competed in the 1920s. He won two bronze medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in ski jumping (1925) and Nordic combined (1927). He also competed in the individual event at the 1924 Winter Olympics.
