Frederick Attakumah is a Ghanaian mining executive and businessman. He was the executive vice president and managing director of Asanko Gold Ghana, and currently serves as the 1st vice president of the Ghana Chamber of Mines [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]
Attakumah holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Ghana. He also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Henley Business School in the United Kingdom and completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Additionally, he is an alumnus of the Creating Shared Value Program at Harvard Business School in the United States. [6] [7] [8]
Attakumah began his career at AngloGold Ashanti in 2003, where he held several positions until 2015. In July 2019, he was appointed executive vice president and managing director of Asanko Gold Ghana.
