Fubar: The Album is the companion record/soundtrack to the 2002 Canadian film FUBAR: The Movie . [1]

Contents

The protagonists of the film are two head bangers; for the album, several contemporary Canadian rock bands were asked to record cover versions of Canadian heavy metal and hard rock hits from that era to complement the film. Artists who participated were diverse, ranging from major acts such as Sum 41 to lesser-known artists such as heavy-metal veteran Thor and indie rock notables The New Pornographers. Also heavily featured was the fictional band Creeper. [2]

The album also includes two non-Canadian songs (Sweet's "Blockbuster" and Girlschool's "C'Mon Let's Go") presented in their original versions. The songs are also interspersed with bits of dialogue from the film. The covers are not actually heard in the film itself; only the original and non-Canadian songs appear in the film.

City of Evil 2005 studio album by Avenged Sevenfold

City of Evil is the third studio album by American heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold, released on June 6, 2005, through Warner Bros. and Hopeless Records. Co-produced by Andrew Murdock, City of Evil contains a more traditional heavy metal and hard rock sound than Avenged Sevenfold's previous two albums, which showcased a predominantly metalcore sound. The album title is derived from a lyric in the song, "Beast and the Harlot". The album is notable for the absence of fry vocals. M. Shadows worked for months before the album's release with vocal coach Ron Anderson, whose clients have included Axl Rose and Chris Cornell, to achieve a sound that had "grit while still having the tone". Play Dirty Live is the first video album released by the British heavy metal band Girlschool in 1985. The American release of the VHS was done by Polygram, the label that had Girlschool under contract at the time. The British edition was instead licensed to Castle Communications and released at the same time. The concert was filmed by Trillion Pictures at the Camden Palace Theatre in London on 7 December 1984 for the British TV show Live from London. The band, which had been recently augmented to a five-piece group, was still recording Running Wild and presents in this show five new songs from the upcoming album. The following songs have their titles wrongly indicated on the sleeve of the VHS: "Out to Get You", "Ready to Rock", "Emergency 999" (Emergency). The song "I Like It Like That" is the B-side of the "20th Century Boy" 12 inches single.
